Coventry dog track closed.

Another one bites the dust.

Sport is dying I'm afraid.

Do you think it might be cyclical? I'm sure I heard somewhere that some tracks do make money (not many, granted). I think it is probably a case of needing to find other ways to attract the punters, rather than three nights and a bags meeting a week for the venue. Perry Barr has speedway, which I think has been synonymous with dog tracks from yesteryear.

Wonder whether some of the newer football stadia might decide to add that into their midweek or night time money making exercises. Am thinking more Brentford than Liverpool.

Funnily, Dens Park, home of Dundee FC, my team, had dog racing for a while in the 90s. I say a while but I mean briefly.

But, yeah, the Coventry news is sad.

Springbok semis tonight at Wimbledon, hope we get a couple in the final.

Best bet at Romford tonight is William Hill's 12/1 for T3 Slaneyside Icon in the 9:40. Contemplating an each way bet. Got the renowned ping box and has best average sectional with 3:61s his quickest. Super lightly raced but 24:37s in last race with faster trial work. Bubbly Rocket obviously very decent in T1 but we should be cutting him off due to better early.

I've picked something in every race for the website but if pushed my best bets would like be:

Heat 2 - T1 Hather George @ 10/3 (8:58 Fri)
Heat 14 - T1 King Dec @ 5/2 (10:03 Sat)

Any other views?

Haha, definitely not!!! Like I said on TfT, I'm putting a view up on every race but of the 16 races will likely only have 6 or 7 strong views.

The RP greyhound app called "GreyhoundBet" is excellent by the way. Has the cards, form, tips, stats - extremely useful.

I have been using that for a while and agree its pretty awesome.  Especially for getting early form.  I quite like following pups that have ran in decennt enough grades in Ireland (certain tracks) and then get thrown into an A6 round Hove or an A5 at Sunderland.

I'm with Scotty about King Dec tonight, also quite fancy a dabble on Zero Two in the first heat at a huge price just in case there's bunching at the first bend and he scoots clear.

Can't wait, on tenterhooks here.

Genuinely love the Derby. Might sound silly or whatever but I get proper excited for every race. Love it.

Both main tips lost. I guess I can gain some compense that they went off shorter than recommended. Or not,

Where we at now with who's gonna win? We so many favs going out I'm happy with my Vanrooney ante post position, also still got Holdem Spy, droopy's Odell, Ecclestone and Airport Captain for small stakes on bf.

Unfortunately I've not been able to see any of the races! Could do with a steer on some longer priced ones that could make an improvement.
