Lay in bed this morning thinking the exact same mate. Love the dog but price is too short. Obviously easy for you, as a layer, I'll probably try and find something to take it on with but just couldn't decide what.

I know Captain gone under the magical 35 seconds at rommers but even so this is a top class 6 bend rommers specialist line up.

Small update after first round cos I know the odd person here and there follows in sometimes.
Forest Gavin @ 14s - has the same profile as those ahead of him in the market but at a bigger price, that's enough for me.
General 8/1 chance now, one 10/1 spot.
Droopys Jarrow @ 16s - top puppy round here. Has flashy times and recent trial shows he is in form. Wide seed probably a bonus too. Prob fav bet of the 3.
General 6/1 favourite, as short as 9/2.
Jet Stream Duke @ 50s - bit punty but looked decent in the Derby and Hove could suit.
Generally 20-25s, with 33/1 in one spot.

Still not any further forward on the Rose Bowl Final. Trying to find evidence that the Captain won't go from trap 1, but I think he'll just pace up and move right.
Trying one a little earlier on the card, in the 8:18. Invicta Sable has Romford 400m sectionals of 3:57s, 3:59s and 3:61s this year and his average sectional must be circa 3:65s. That's the early pace we are looking for at Romford - and whilst there is other early in the race, nothing that would compare with that. Brother John is the top dog in the race but has been off the track since the Derby and his trial here wasn't impressive, despite obvious form here.
Invicta Sable hasn't been tearing it up at Hove but his sprint work there has been decent and gives us some encouragement. Probably worth a 5er of anyone's money at 14/1 with William Hill, generally an 8-10/1 chance. Obviously a big price since some of the other dogs are faster but just think if he produces a snap break then the race might actually not take too much winning from the front.

At the other end of the scale, Adageo Bob is 11/10 with Ladbrokes. Think he must be a 4/6 shot, so much better than these on the clock and can do it from the front or from off the pace. I don't really back them this short though - thoughts arbboy once you've had a look? I assume these are the kind that you take an opinion on.

Agreed wouldnt be keen laying odds against. Got plenty of 35.0x's on its card over c&d. The 2nd fav only did 35.38 in a solo last time out. Only reason Bob is in this is because he was at Sunderland for the big sky meet otherwise he would be in the rose bowl final and prob clear 2nd fav in that, if not jt fav.

It's one of the worst opens i have seen at romford for a long time. It nothing more than an A2 graded race for me so couldn't put you off an ok hove sprinter at 14/1 in the race.

Happy to stick my neck out again tonight, can't watch again as playing live poker and as ever don't go made if your doing my as although I've had a good study I'm only thinking out loud to try and help the thread gain traction:
9:06 Movealong Turbo 9/4, think this can make amends for a disappointing run last week, is capable of starting fast, showed this when it was second to Dower Matt which is quite handy, a few poor runs since then but if it gets out I think it wins.
20:18 Young Tyrur, 4-1, going to take a chance with this, the guys have already said it's a poor race and will not take much to win, as a sprinter I'm hoping he pings and just hangs on from Brother John who will be chasing him down.
21:24 Sinbad, 7/2, opposing Airport Captain here (although I have backed at 5/4 to lay nearer the race, should be odds on). Possibly a quick double over Captain, think the dog improves again on last week.
Full disclosure I back Agageo Bob earlier at 11/10, I notice Arboy has put it up on TFT since. Great call and still available at evens. have had a tickle on Steve's Dream and Flawless Floyd as well.
Look forward to a few from Scotty and Arboy, thoughts on these as well please lads.
