Missed the dogs as I've been in hospital a couple of days (all good now). Just caught up on the races, obvs big night for the bookies ( and Arbboy!!) big disappointment with Touch Tackle, dog in front done very well to cut him off at every chance and in the end he didn't know where to go. Anyway, not disappointed with the prices we got on all of them.

I did my bollocks on the last two races at nottingham last night which spoilt a great day. Laid 6/1 and 10/1 winners. Still can't understand how t2 won the eclipse and got a run from the boxes. Watched it 20 times now and still trying to work out how the railer in t3 went wide for the first time in its life.

Has to be an anomaly, happens sometimes, still not sure about how these tracks are set up sometimes, maybe there is more naughtiness in the sport than we realise. So much that can be done to create an uneven playing field.

Vase prices are coming out. Keeping an eye on Adego Bob, currently 100/30, hopefully we can get bigger. Couple of others to throw in the mix ante post when all the prices come out.

Chaps and chapesses,
A long story short (for a change), the family sponsors a race every year at hall green in memory of my dad's late uncle, who was tragically killed at work 21 years ago. This is the 21st running of the race and as you will see from the card, it's the 21:50 and an A1. We've never wanted more than that, really; it's more about the memory and the occasion than the quality of the race.
http://www.racingpost.com/greyhounds/card.sd#resultDay=2014-11-21&raceId=1332287
If anyone has any thoughts on the race or any of the card, I'd be delighted to have them.
Thanks.

VVery unoroginal but the fav in T1 looks to have a good chance. Beats 2 for early and should get away to a clear run. You will know better than me but EP isnt always a massive advantage at the Hall, it seems to me there is a camber at the hotel turn and whatever takes that best normally wins.
If I was being really adventurous I'd take T4 in the forecast and T6 for all combos. Gambool!

Thanks for that, Kmac. One of the big problems at hall green is the sharpness of that first bend, as you often see problems with congestion. I've had the misfortune to see some terrible injuries there over the years. Getting out and clear is always a good thing if you can hold onto the lead

The race looks an a2 effectively apart from the jolly in t1 none of these look the same grade. T2 has never broke 29 seconds unless it's had the one box so it's very hard to see it having a chance. It's also got a lot of mid rails comments on its card even when it has trap one so its pretty safe to assume trap one should get a solo on the rails.
I can't have t3 on my mind with two moving off and it's slow times. Trap four is interesting with a 28.66 on its card back in may winning an a2 and should get a clear run here with five and six both being wides. I think 5 and 6 could easily do each other in the race with 5 leading 6 up and stopping six getting a run at that dangerous first bend. I would be backing t1 large at anything around 2/1 (I make it around a 5/4 shot given its draw and previous times - the only worry is its age being well past four) and have a saver on trap four if you can get 5/1 or bigger. Cheeky 1-4 forecast for the more exotic loving punters in your group there tonight who prefer to stake small and win big.
Enjoy the night.

pissing down in west mids all day. Big mid/outside bias at monmore for the afternoon bags. t1/2 in last 6 bend race both heavily backed run solos and never lifted a leg. No t1 or t2 winners all afternoon so far. Def not suiting the railers.

You not win the world on the crabs '10 star nap' on tuesday night? Broke the track record. (9/2 into 7/2).
Agree there were some very 'dubious' results however. I laid the eclipse winner at 10/1 on the off on bf (backed from 22/1 into 10/1 on bf) still no idea how it got a run and/or won the race.

Rigging the eclipse takes some effort. There can't be that much being bet on the outcome as to make it worthwhile taking all the risks. Must be easier ways of making a few bob stopping.
