What a start to the 2018 Derby. Brandy/Wildcat was thrilling, always more enjoyable when you make a few quid. Will do a scores on the doors on the ante post book soon.

Yet another draw kills Wildcat though in a race.  Runs bad on draws

Well done lads

Wonder if Quest/Eurosport would be interested in picking
up the deal? Snooker now football league highlights certainly made a play towards sport last few years.

Never seen Ben like that before, gutted about sky, spent all this money on sponsorship and won’t even get the platform he probably needed to make it worthwhile. Thoughts?

Be interested in how Clonbrien Hero goes from t6 against Bruisers and UPenalty, 5/1 looks tempting and he is Holland’s first string/highly thought of. But it is a tough race so I’m not gonna force a bet.

A bet for me tomorrow at the prices which is Bockos Alfie @ 9/4 with Coral.  Hoping the early pace will get clear and hang on.

Although I also was impressed with Droppys Wilbury last run (although it was an A3)  the 7/2 on Jaytee Jaguar looks nice with sb or 365. Looks like he finishes well and Hennessy is shrewd and I like to keep him onside. Could look a decent bit of value come racetime. Goodluck all.

Finished 4th but I'm more than happy with Newinn Shadow in the same race, can start much better. Only length and a half down.

Boylesports Duke (7/4) to keep my first round treble alive in the 8:05 tomorrow. Also like Shaneboy Freddie tomorrow, he's often underrated but I reckon he can get off the front tomorrow at 7/2. Boon's other runner went well today.

Couple of darts at Droopys Nirvana (6/1) in the 8:52 and Alfies Prince (4/1) in the 9:07 (sorry Omm, hope he picks up Alfie).

Decent. Gonna miss the first few races as I'm working.

Guys if you have not seen this race I suggest you watch it. What Rising Brandy does here against another top class dog is amazing. Remember Brandy is a youngster. To not only go nose to nose with Wildcat and refuse to let him pass but once he had seen off that challenge he had the outsuider of the field running a stormer on the inside and coming off the last bend he just refused to let anyone passed. Not many dogs would be able to see off both challenges and effectively start to go away again at the end. Superb run. Will he be able to do it over 5 weeks though? We know that these early rounds are just about qualifying. Have to be some dog to keep that performance up over this many races.

I am surprised Wildcat is still 22/1 in a place this morning tbh after basically having to follow Brandy around on the outside all the way and lost just under a length (7 spots on the clock).  If they were drawn the other way around then Wildcat would have won by the same distance.  It did win well at the end and is open to any amount of improvement being a pup but Wildcat is surely going to get a draw soon right?

Said the same thing to my Dad this morning, draw the other way around and Wildcat probably kicks on. Obviously only one race and over the comp as the more experienced dog you would think Wildcat would have a bit of an edge. Plenty to mull over. At least we are on at the value prices and can revel in the racing.

This is Calico Brandy, Decent run to pull back the fast starting Other Ben (who lost it when Calico went passed) the thin* 5hat makes me wonder how good this dog can be is the fact about the virus the trainer mentioned his dogs had just acou0le of weeks ago and Brandy had it the worse. To still run and win like this is decen5. Scotty has got us on at a decent price 100/1. Expect some solid things to come.

Jaytee Jaguar 200/1 1/2 pt ew
Lenson Blinder 117/1 1/2 pt ew

So three are not running, Astute Missle, Forest Mike and Priceless Brandy.

I’ve added Lensons Blinder, 100/1 with Hills but boosted to 117/1. As well as having another 1/2pt ew on Swithins Brae, 150/1 with Hills but boosted to 167/1.

Droopy’s Wilbury done a nice 28:46 on its return run last night and Fred’s are 125/1 for Derby, good enough for the team, 1pt ew.

The Derby draw is live at 1pm today on Towcester.tv app

Gutted, we lose Barefoot Painter from the team as he had just been withdrawn with a sore wrist. Trap stays vacant.

Just added Calico Brandy to my little portfolio with 1/2pt ew @100/1 which I was a little surprised to find this morning.

I'd guess it might be somewhat boom or bust as that run post-virus might have emptied him or possibly he's now on the improve.
