Learn to love salad.
But mainly what people have already said.
Less than 2000 calories a day, less than 30g of fat a day.
Avoid alcohol and avoid sugar as much as possible.
Try and exercise every day.

well have reached day 5 and still my discipline is holding out. tonight will be a test, new years eve party drinking soft drinks and not touching the buffet!
feel a lot less bloated and think i have lost a few pounds but wont weigh myself til day 7 so we will see.
although blonde bashes might tell you otherwise im not actually a big drinker. i drink occasionally (unfortunatly its usually when tikays around lol) so giving the alcohol up for a month isnt gona hurt me much. i actually love salads and vegatables so no excuses really.
im sticking to 2 meals a day, light breakfast in the morning and an evening meal, absolutely nothing in between or after my dinner. just found that my local gym does day memberships for £5 so will be venturing there once or twice a week for a workout and to use the steam room.
thanks guys for the advice and good wishes

I'm pretty sure the key is to eat little and often rather than just two meals a day with nothing inbetween If you are eating healthily in your main meals then just snacking inbetween on fruit/carrots etc just to keep things stocked up I could be wrong but I was told that by a guy at the gym I'm pretty sure. I'm sure one of the more knowledgeable guys will correct me if I'm wrong. Best of luck with it and happy new year

You really need to eat tiny meals every 3 hours or so. You Starve = Your Body Stores!

People argue both ways.
Personally Paul I would cut the food out altogether and just drink spirits until you cant see. Any sign of an ambulance and make sure you have 'please pump' written across your stomach.
