gl praz, but not sure he couldve played the hand any worse.
Assuming it was reported correctly.
Mickey Doft is the best field reporter Pokernews has, kid just doesn't miss a thing.
Nonetheless best of luck to Doctor Bansi.
Not gonna criticise someone who is prob 10x better than me.

Is it really that bad though? He opens a nice hand and gets called from the BB.
He just plays it nice and aggro on the flop as you would expect following an EP raise. BB checks so obv we have to c bet. We get check raised and think BB may be at it so fire again which is perfectly reasonable. Oppo now turns his hand face up with the 4 bet but very generously gives us nearly 4 to 1 + the implied odds that he's going to donk off if we actually hit.
Whilst it's not the way I would've played it (fold pre for me) it looks pretty good to me.

Yeah course it's a 3 bet fold. We know we're behind and we could be in a world of shit if oppo is 4 bet semi bluffing with the NFD.
Oppo's bet is only a rubbish amount if he's stacking off. If he's 3 betting to induce a shove from the flush draw it's fine. If he's passing when a club comes it's fine. Stacking off makes it a rubbish amount because he's gifted his oppo a good price to make what would otherwise have been a bad call.
We're in position so unlikely to get the chance to check fold.

Praz is just so fkin good it's demoralising. You seen the table draws he had yesterday en route to being chip leader? Only Bonomo, Minieri, Ivey and Demidov, among others. What a sicko. Different class.
Can you make this play he's done here to get the chip lead?

He was probably freerolling the whole hand from chips he won without showdown. I don't doubt for a second that he knew exactly what he was doing.
I've played JC Alvarado before, he's a tricky bastard and very loose, Praz probably decided the high probability that JC had air meant calling the first check-raise wasn't as good a play as raising it. Once the 4bet comes, Praz's hand plays itself.

I don't doubt he's a great player but surely this hand is just spew with the bare 10 high flush draw.

Have heard Praz Bansi has made it into day 4 of the PCA with 62 other players with the avg stack at 875k and he has around 2.1m in chips. Seems he came back from a big set back too, where he ended up doubling up Ivey where he flopped a pair and the nut flush draw vs Iveys set. Ivey ended up holding up to double through.
Good luck to him would be nice to see a Brit take down such a prestigious tournament.
