Started following NFL last season.  Enjoy the game when I get to see it, but haven't got a clue about fantasy leagues etc, anyone help with a short and easy to understand explanation??

It's basically like a real NFL draft except  the whole player pool is available to draft.

So once a player e.g Tom Brady is gone no one else can have him.

You then get matched up against someone in your league and whoever's team gets the most points that week wins

Then the top teams go into a play off and then the superbowl

The NFL verssion of pre season friendlies, starters usually play maybe a quarter.

Backups play all the second half trying to win roster spots.
