malmaison a very good way to spend a non-poker day.

head to P&P or Waterfront thereafter (if that still exists?) for cocktails thereafter ldo.

The Waterfronts a shithole now mate, if it's where I think you mean, it's on the corner next to loads of traffic lights ? P&P is nice though esp if weather is good. Popolo's is good for cocktails.

are you thinking of what used to be Chase? Because I'm not - I'm thinking much further along the quay behind the law courts.

If you're thinking Popolo's, try Alvinos just next door -- best mojitos in Newcastle and over 9000 sorts. Apple, cinnamon and raspberry mojitos ftw.

whats wrong with the three bulls, goose, and the percy?

Used to be Chase ? Chase is still there no ? I'm thinking the opposite end of the Quayside. Pretty sure where are thinking of the same place.

Never noticed Alvinos before will have a pop in if I see it.

Three Bulls is my favourite bar in town on a Matchday, especially against your lot.

maybe - it's been a while since i was out in newcastle (one night at xmas excepted and i don't recall going to the goose then either buzz, although great bar!).

Alvinos is down the side street if that makes sense.

Truly bizarre day today. I've getting off to a great start to the year so I was expecting some variance to kick in and I'm ofc pleased with how things are going so won't be doing any moaning, for a change. Well, as I mentioned I bricked all 59 comps yesterday before the connection issues. Today I managed to go 79 games in $15 180's without so much as a min cash, despite that though I wasn't even in that bad a shape going into my last few games and I actually finished the session with a small profit. I'm still waiting to hear back from Stars so will update balances etc when that is sorted. As I said I'm not going to whinge I'll just not talk about the 35's. It should be a fun couple of days now, really looking forward to tmoro, after I posted my plans on here I hadn't actually booked anything and suddenly thought, shit what if they're booked up, getting 3-3 1/2 treatments so thought they might not be able to do it and I wanted to do it before I move out. Turns out I run good at spa bookings and got the perfect slot at 1:45pm which was exactly what I wanted.

We had a really good day and she loved it so happy days. It's probably not something I'd choose to do again for myself but was still a fun experience. I had a full body massage, a facial and a pedicure, japes, me Mam had the same. We also had lunch there which she really enjoyed, I decided to be a bit risky with the things I ordered, had a butternut squash soup which was alright but not really my cup of tea and had this ravioli dish with lemon flavour that I really didn't like and only had one bite full of, tbh after all the treatments I wasn't that hungry anyways, all in all a really good day. I was planning to take her for a few drinks but as I've mentioned she doesn't really drink and didn't fancy a drink so we just came home.

I got a refund of $231.21, so the balances are....

Games total : 1262
Total profit : $3197.61

Current balance : $8197.61

35's

Current balance : $1906.92

Totally agree re: Gervais, have never found him funny

I take you have seen the first two films before the good, the bad and the ugly?

Didn't realise it was part of a trilogy, guess I need to watch the other two first then lol ?

You can watch it on it's own but get more of the character and plot having seen the first two. They are:

A fist full of dollars
For a few dollars more

Watched both of these now cheers, thought they where pretty good, definitely worth a watch, will watch TGTBTU tonight. Pretty tough not to respect the career Clint Eastwoods had without me actually having seen much of his work, thought Million Dollar Baby and Gran Torino where both excellent films. See he's doing a film next year called Trouble with the curve, from IMDB: An ailing baseball scout in his twilight years takes his daughter along for one last recruiting trip. Pretty much a lock to say that will be a good film.

If you enjoy those,"Sabata" is also one you should watch.

I did enjoy them but after watching TGTBTU I'll probably give anymore Westerns a miss for a little while, will maybe watch at some point though, cheers.

Not seen 'Unforgiven' Ray?

Another quality Eastwood film.

Also 'any which way but loose' and 'every which way you can' which are pretty tez but kinda comedy at the same time.

As I said in the Toon thread, I really don't care about it. If it brings money into the club they can call it whatever they like for all I care, we will still call it SJP anyway.
