just finished 6th in hot 55 for nearly 3k
and the geordies won
wp was fun to watch, nice little ladder when you were in 7th with pittance!
Pretty tilting tbh, 10th, 6th and 5th in Hot 55 in less than a two week period, got 0 actual profit when I came 5th and a bowl + fig from today, would be nice to be allowed to actually convert summit decent, saving it for something huge though.
Tmoro would work.

As anyone who knows me is well aware the Tyne-Wear derby is a huge, huge deal to me, but poker is my job and every Sunday grind is a big deal as well, there's guna be a lot more Sunday grinds in my life then Derbies though. So I was really unsure about what to do today, thought about it off and on for couple of weeks leading up to this week and still had no idea what I was going to do, then I asked Pads what his plans where and he just insta replied something along the lines of "fuck the football we are shit, <3 Sundays, I'm grinding" lolz. So if I want to have anything close to the sort of success Pads has had I need to at least try and replicate his attitude. So on the Monday I paid to have Sky Sports in for a month so I could record the game and thought I'll start early and put in a huge grind, legooooo. Then I got sick, and not zzzz mondaflu sick, everyone I know had pretty brutal bug the last couple of weeks so I was always going to get it, damn my immune system. They old me would have took this as an opportunity to just rest but I'm really enjoying playing at the minute so didn't want to just take the easy option.
So I've played less tables as there just was no hope of me being able to focus with 12+ tables, and I've done less study than I'd normally like to but I've still been working pretty hard. I wasn't anywhere near my A game all week and made numerous errors that I'd never normally make but playing was definitely +ev and I managed a couple of scores through the week but nothing too exciting.
Then Derby day arrived, and I felt worse than I did when I first became unwell and still had no idea what to do regards the game. Did 90mins study with a couple of other horses and finished that at 15:15, still with no plan for the game. Finally decided to go out and watch it despite paying for it in the house lolz, gg £17 wasted. I booked a taxi for 15:45 and booked a return for 17:55. Lets not bother talking about that period of time, no desire whatsoever to discuss anything Newcastle United related.
So I came back and started the session with the plan of just playing small, missing most of the majors as I didn't fancy knocking in chunks playing my C game. Not much exciting was happening and I was one tabling the Bigger 55 from around midnight. Six hours later I'm 7/10 and we have a legit sweat for a good number and 40k UT. Could this finally be the time I bink that big score.
Nope, it wasn't, I got coolered and busted 9th. Pay jumps where huge and 2k just wasn't the number I was looking for. So how do I feel now at 7am on a Monday morning, having been awake since half 10 after a pretty shit sleep the night before having once again come close but not found the glory. Well, other than the sickness I feel great, another Sunday in the book where I've giving myself a big chance of a huge score and things just didn't go my way, that's poker and that's life. I'm in such a good place in my life right now and I'm probably repeating myself on an earlier post but just so excited for the future, someday very soon I will be writing a new post in here about how I feel having just won a major for
that
big score.
