Yeah I posted about Deadwood a few months back, I was the same about it so used my old man as a guinea pig Cheesy

Just watch it, it's one of the best shows I've seen and the characters especially McShane's are amazing!

Ok will give it a whirl, Titty is a huge HBO fanboy so wasn't sure how much merit to give to his suggestion. Tbf HBO are a bit good.

I was exactly the same about Deadwood but it was the one show that persuaded me that I didn't have to like or be interested in the subject matter to love a good drama.  if it wasn't for Deadwood I would never have bothered with Game of Thrones for example.  Only bad thing about Deadwood is the fact is finished after 3 series.

Before starting Deadwood I watched all 6 eps of On Freddie Roach, well worth watching, really liked it.

Breaking bad. Best thing on t'elleh

Havent read the other pages on this thread, so sorry if its already been discussed in detail

The thing about it, is it was poorly marketted in the UK, in fact no one knew about it, I believe the first series was screened on 5 US and got poor ratings. Had it been hyped/marketted like Dexter, it would have been much more popular (its huge in the US)

I've just completed season 4, i ended up having to buy season 3 and 4 from Amazon germany as you still cant get them in UK (well you couldnt last time i checked).

Absolutely brilliant series, full of twists and turns, great plot and concept.

FWIW dexter is also v good but I'm not enjoying it as much as B Bad

I've not even downloaded anything bar the pilot and will now be saving it until the whole season is done. I'm currently enduring the pain that is waiting week to week for Mentalist, House, Vampire Diaries, Fringe and several others which is irritating

Just the one episode of Game of Thrones S1 left to watch.

I'm wondering how many might survive as far as season2.

Certainly a few surprises in there when you see who gets bumped. After ep4 or 5 I'd never have guessed which characters weren't going to survive to the end.
