Touch....ugh...bleugh...
(Regretted that for a while)
Had good feedback on it, so will give it a spin and not too worried about wasting a little time.

If you can handle subtitles you just have to watch Romanzo Criminale. Right up there with the very best things I have watched.

Gutted no season 3 of Boss.
USA TV market is really a strange one, these shows get great reviews and high scores on IMDB yet only small viewing figures. Apparently 1m watched Boss, wonder how many viewers is classed as a hit? Dexter, an example of a long running program with 7 series and an 8th in planning gets approx 2.2m, surely 1m isn't too bad?
Downton's 90-minute opener was seen by an average audience of 9 million - 9m!! I've only ever seen about 10 mins of Downton but it looked so bad and nothing happened (or was planned to happen). I can't see why it's so popular, perhaps we have so little choice in the UK and the US is jammed full of great tele.
Off to research what big figure shows are in the US.

Since Christmas I've started ripping through episodes of
'The Office US'
. I have never seen the UK original so can't compare but it's absolutely hilarious and a real easy watch when in need of a spirit lifter. The more you grow to love and know each character the less they need to do to have you in bits. There are moments where I'm laughing when nothing has been said, you know what they're thinking. Playground antics by grown people in a work place, comedy genius!

May have already been suggested in the thread, but if you like the US office, you will love Parks and Recreation. Season 1 only gets watchable in the last two episodes of it, the previous 4 episodes are pretty slow, and will probably put you off watching the rest of the show.
I am 4 episodes into season two now and I am absolutely loving it. There is one character called Ron Swanson who I think is the funniest character in all sitcoms, and It may be that he has hit me cold but he is awesome.
Will report back on here about the show, but start from season 1 episode 5 and you won't regret the next 6 20mins episodes, probably the other, up to 5 seasons as well.
Helluva a lot of episodes and I am really excited about watching them.

New series of Being Human starts shortly. It's not cerebral but it is a fun drama, they aren't frightened to kill major characters off and I'm expecting more of the same.

By not frightened you mean they don't mind sticking with the show after all the major actors abandon in because they all found better work?
But I must say, I think they did manage to rescue it despite there not being a single one of the original cast still in it. Werewolves watching the One Show, its a format that works.

I'm not sure I'd call
Him and Her
better work but point taken. Also the baddies never seem to last long, however much fun they are.

If anyone can cope with subtitles "The Bridge" is worth a download.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1733785/?ref_=sr_3
A Body is found on the Bridge conecting Denmark and Sweden exactly on the border, legs in one country torso in the other, to tell you more would spoil it.
Not done at snail's pace like the killing, and some quality twists and turns.
