I'm liking TWD as well, just catching up with Boardwalk Empire, middle of Season 4 and it is incred. Could be in my top 5 series.

Still not started TWD, but am up to speed with BE, and it has been excellent.

The thing I love about Boardwalk is it just delivers on every level consistently.  It might not be my favourite show or the one I watch first if I have got a few to watch but I have got to the point where I trust it.  It is never going to turn into another Dexter, its never going to spend a few weeks on an extended dream sequence or test my patience with a slightly convoluted fake serial killer storyline.  Do I overall prefer Sopranos and the Wire?  Yes but I can't remember ever being particularly disappointed or bored by a long running storyline.  Every second seems to be well used and thought out and, of course, beautifully shot.  The only show that is as consistently good is Game of Thrones.

No - I am aware I probably should....I got the first series and watched a few episodes and found it okay but it didn't grip me.  I guess this is a rec to persevere?

Some of the stuff that happens you will just shake your head at, but it's definitely worth watching.

Watching the latest season of Eastbound and Down on Sky and I've suddenly realised I've not seen season 3 yet.  Also enjoying Oz at the moment.  Put it off for ages because I thought it was Australian (I know).  Pretty violent and has some entertaining characters.

The 1st couple of series are a grind, not that good. Then every episode just constantly delivers.

This is a bit out of the leftfield for this thread but I just love "Last Tango in Halifax"  It is just real good British drama.  It doesnt have an anti hero lead or any spectacular action scenes but the dialogue is wonderfully observed.  Maybe I am just missng home but I havent enjoyed an hours TV as last nights episode in a long time.

Three seasons in to the Wire and I'm hooked. It really requires an investment of time and I think if I didn't have box sets it would have given up during season 1, but once you understand the huge network of complex characters it really is something else. Assuming the last two series are on a par it should easily make my top three list.

Sums up my view of the Wire too. Think in a cumulative kind of way it just gets better and better over the last 2 seasons. Have fun.

Watched season 1 of GoT in the last coupla weeks. Wasn't expecting much but really like it.. pretty tight story telling, immediately accessible..very good I'd say

Thanks to this thread I've started watching Breaking Bad and have just finished Season 1.

Netflix says I have 62 episodes and this makes me feel very happy.
