I would accept not as strong as the first series, but you can't genuinely...I mean, surely you don't think...but...obviously you accept that the American version would be....I mean with the cheeky references to the stories and...?

yeh I mean all the Lui > Freeman stuff just had to be a level.

tbf Guy Ritchie did create the best Sherlock ever...

Not at all.
Lucy Lui has never been a favourite if mine and as I said, I had my doubts about the Joan Watson concept at first, but I think it works really well.

I like Her role of sober companion and apprentice detective much more than the biographer and liability in the field that Freeman is playing.

While I vastly prefer Freeman to Lui as an actor, in a Joan v John matchup, Joan wins it hands down for me.

I feel like there shouldn't be plot holes in Sherlock, it should be better than that, but maybe I was hoping for too much.

True Detective, new HBO, expected another seen it all before serial killer show maybe done in a classy way, early Dex mixed with BE perhaps but it's way way better than that. Only 2 eps in, lots of deep stuff, 99.9% of which I missed of course. It's got a slightly Twin Peaksie style to it and is excellent and well worth getting into.

Musketeers, know a relation of one of the actors, really wanted to like this but it's just the same old pony really. HBO crushes the Beeb at telling stories. Not even half as good as Dogtanian imo Smiley

I'm going to ask, and I feel like it I should create an anon account to ask it but that awesome HBO clip has reminded me (the adds after it's played)

Has anyone watched Girls? I have to say it looks quite amusing, in an I-have-to-watch-it-I'm-with-the-Mrs kind of way.

Winterwatch - are they playing inuendo bingo?

In the last two days we have had . . .

"beautiful pair of tits" multiple times.
"tits as far as the eye can see"
"wonderful to see great tits adapt to a new habitat so quickly"
"great tits don't like to be man handled"
"tomorrow we focus on our black cock"
"today we get highly excited by a big black cock"

All of these passed without a murmour and then last night someone lost their composure due to something being found in their "front pond".

Whatever they are playing, its still great TV from the Beeb.

I was deeply impressed by Chris Packham saying that he loves seeing a black cock first thing in the morning without anyone in the studio laughing.
