THE BOYS on Amazon Prime.
A sideways look at super heroes in corporate America.
Stunningly violent in small doses, and very funny at times.

Side note: Simon Pegg's American accent is a LOT better than the co-lead Kiwi's London accent is, but if you squint your ears, it's ok.

Not looked through this thread yet, but if I see any posts about Love Island or the new pile of crap called Temptation Island (or how to cheat on your lover whilst on TV) I will be looking for a new forum to post on!

Really enjoying this. Didn't realise how many time the co-lead, Kurt Urban was in films that I really enjoyed such as a couple of Lord of the Rings and Bourne Supremacy.

Karl Urban's been in everything it seems. LOTR, Bourne Supremacy, Star Trek, Avengers...he's everywhere I turn!

In my head I typed 'Karl' but in reality it came out as 'Kurt'. This actually happened twice, I corrected it twice and still came out with 'Kurt'. FML

It's not that the accent is consistently bad. It's more that it's generally ok with occasional slips and missteps. I can bear that a lot more than something constantly off (Katy Bates in ANY of the American Horror Stories for example)

Just finished Season 2 of The Deuce and thoroughly enjoyed it, everything falling in to place for the following seasons to be excellent.

Unfortunately turns out its been cancelled though! Only upside being that they knew in time to bring everything to a conclusion at the end of season 3.  Cry

Right up there in my top 3 series of all time.

I had some concerns about the line up when it was announced, but the first episode was as good as any episode without Bob Mortimer can be.

Speaking of St Bob, Mortimer and Whitehouse Go Fishing is rather good in a gentle thoughtful way.

I love that gentle, meandering, unhyped type of show. They don't come along too often.
