As an aside having saw the replay again today from Ferdy taking Ronaldinho down on the edge of the box, Red card for anyone? Wasnt much sign of cover about and surely Ronny was about to have a goalscoring oppurtunity, these are big big decisions when ManU were 1-0 down as it was.

Good game for the neutral - cant see either side going too far on those defensive performaces though.
Man U will have Vidic back and Rio maybe won't be in the worst form of his career so would still fancy man u to go deep
Agree to an extent but the midfield is the real long term issue.
I was chatting about this last night,I think it's the first time I've looked at a Man U midfield and not seen a majority of world class players, imo they have none. They're all very good/excellent players but not world class.Still think they play so well as a team that they've a decent shout but none of there midfield would get a look in at Barca/Real or prob even Chelsea.
What's you definition of world class?
Rooney isn't world class? Others that spring to mind are Ferdinand (admittedly not having a good season), Vidic and Evra who i believe won the poll on here for best lb in the world.
I said when the season started the United are very underrated this year by a lot of people as they have lost Ronaldo, they are certainly one of the best 2 teams in this country and therefore in the top 4 worldwide.
