There's a lot of shortstacks making moves at the moment looking for that double up to get them back into the game.

Once such player making the move was Vaidas Siriunas, who's pocket fours ran into the pocket tens of Darren Moy.

The board of K 3 8 7 6 meant no double up for Vaidas and moved Darren to just over 11k.

A hand just before the break sees Graeme Hendry double up through Tasos Grigoriou.

Graeme has pocket two's on a flop of J K 2, whilst Tasos has K7.

The turn brings another king, giving Tasos outs, but the river 4 means Graeme ships the 20k pot.

Panayiotis Kekkou found A-7 UTG+2 in an unopened pot and shoved in his last 5.4k. He nearly got it through, but unfortunately he ran into Vincent McAuley's A-9 in the BB. No suckouts or 4-flushes on the 6-Q-10-4-Q flop and Panayiotis headed for the rail.

Here's a hand from about 15 minutes ago on table 13 involving Jonothon Butters, John Gibson and Dewi James.




After a long dwell, Jonothon eventually folds pre flop, leaving John and Dewi in a coinflip situation.

And as I get that clip posted, Dewi James wanders over to the update area to say he is out.  His Ten Ten versus the Ace Queen of John Gibson.

An Ace and a Queen on the flop ends Dewi's tournament.

Over on table 22, I joined the hand as it was developing, the board was reading  three clubs two spades and Mohammad Hanif Kazi had checked. His opponent, who the seating plan claims to be Kev Allen but we don't believe it is, confidently bet 4.2k. Mohammad tanked and eventually called. The river brought the  and Mohammad checked again, hoping to induce a bet from his young opponent. As expected, his opponent duly moved all in and Mohammad called pretty quickly, flipping his  as his opponent insta-mucked as soon as he heard the word "call".
