2pts South Africa to beat Mexico at 15-8
2pts Uruguay to beat France at 11-4
Both SkyBet
1pt The double at 9.8-1
That'll do me Day 1
S Africa at home, emotional game. Reckon they will win
Hoping France are disappointing. Happy to go against Domenech in anything, at any time

So far I'm on
Brazil to win at 5.9
Luis Fabiano top goal scorer at 13.5
and against the forum, I'm with France in their first game at 2.24

Andrew French seems the shrewdest, Spain to win, Fabiano top g/s and Serbia to be dark horses.

So far I have
£30 on Argy's to win it @ 7/1
£20 on Holland to win it @ 11/1
£10 on Ivory Coast to win it @ 50/1
£10 on Paraguay to win it @ 100/1....... 1 time please!!
£20 on Messi Top Scorer @ 10/1
£10 on Fabiano Top Scorer @ 12/1
I'm also looking to place some 'winning nation/top scorer' doubles on too, thinking about Milito/Argy, Villa/Spain and possible a few others.
I have added:
£10 on Brazil to win it + Fabiano top scorer @ 22/1
£5 on Spain to win it + Villa top scorer @ 16/1
(only £5 on this as I have Spain already in the £10 sweep on here)
£5 on Germany to win it + Klose top scorer @ 100/1

Gone with
Spain to win & Villa top scorer
Holland outright
Brazil/Ivory Coast, Serbia/Germany, Argentina/South Korea - Straight Forecast treble and doubles (regretting the South Korea shout now)
Mexico/Uruguay straight forecast and dual forecasts
France not to qualify
So pretty much need France not to qualify to make any sizeable profit.

I've got a decent sweat on the England starting XI. I've got 10/3 that Heskey and Rooney will play up front and for a decent amount for me. Odds on starting are quite similar between Crouch and Heskey so could go either way.

Watching a programme on ITV4 about stats around the World Cup. Talking about the teams that pass the most, those that score from corners most, etc.
Interesting fact. Italy have never scored from a direct free-kick in the World Cup finals.
