Att his point I see, inadvertently, the cards of the third player in the hand, C T Law, who is holding 

He flat calls too

So with 15,000 or so in the pot we see a river

and Mr Law must think this is "gin" as it is the 

McTaggart checks and Idris-Dabo shoves for his last 12,000

The impassive Law calls all in,McTaggart passes

Idris-Dabo shows  to win the 40,000 pot and knock out C.T

He faded both the draw and the overpair when all three got their chips in on the flop

Peter Wigglesworth made it 7,200, and Alex folded after a long think

I sidled over a propos of nothing and inquired how he was

"I think you need a zoom lens to see my..." a slight hesitation had me worried "stack" he said

"Dingdell is asking how you are doing" I said

He straightened his back, smiled almost imperceptibly and said

"Still in, just. Make sure you tell her I used to be a pilot"
