Dan Owston raises to 1200 in second position

Alan Vinson flat calls in the hi-jack

Simon Trumper squeeze pushes for 8,000 in the cut off

Paul Zimbler upsets Trumper's applecart by flatting in the small blind

and Dan Owston in orange at the end of the table is left ruefully smiling

Alan Stearn news

In a four way limped pot the participants see a  flop

As the first person prepares to act considers how to act, Alan who is third to act, lifts his cards up and holds them over the pass line, as if he is about to fold.

Second player bets, and Mr Stearn withdraws his cards and flat calls, other two players pass

Checked on a blank turn

Check, bet, fold for Stearn to win the pot on the river, at which point he reveals  as if Derren Brown and David Blaine's lovechild could not do a better job of deception

"So, Mitch, going well then?"

"Just lost 15,000 with Ace high no pair no draw into a full house"


After a pause the player to his right clarifies

"to be fair, you got your chips trying to donk them off too"
