2 quid showdown was just the best fun ever.
+1  And the reason why not to have it at dtd just not enough freedom to play random games

Just to repeat, there are no current plans

why?

- Barely a weekend free of a DTD/GUKPT/UKIPT/APAT/Sky event for the remainder of 2012. Never seen it more crowded

- Leeds bb8 had 80 runners. DTD bb9 had 100 runners. I don't think we'd get significantly more than that at the current juncture, and therefore its a struggle to justify the cost and the organisational time

Personally, i didn't feel DTD suited a bash very much. Great club, but not that condusive to fun self dealt games etc etc

When we do bb10 then our contacts are such that all venue options are open. Would personally like to try somewhere new. I have Aspers Newcastle in mind, holds 200, great for a night out too. But not yet.

For reference so far

bb1 Broadway Birmingham
bb2 Cincins Glasgow
bb3 G Walsall
bb4 G Luton
bb5 Grosvenor Cardiff
bb6 G Luton
bb7 DTD
bb8 Alea Leeds
bb9 DTD

Would people be up for a foreign one?

behave. Lovely and all that but lets get 150+ for a UK one before we think about pies in the sky

haha I meant Dublin for obvious reasons ;-)

LOL at Dublin, we'd all be busto by the end of it.

It would NEVER be chosen. No suitable venue, the plance is horrifically expensive, and half the blondes would get alcohol poisoning

don't worry about the suitable venue bit, the chances of anyone actually turning up for the tournament would be pretty slim

Since it would seem like there isn't going to be an "official" blonde bash for quite awhile if at all, is there any reason why we don't just sort out an "unofficial" BB10 ? No need for any costs, just a ton of blondes meet at such and such a place at such and such a time, get smashed, infiltrate some local casinos/poker tournaments/strip joints/bars (in reverse order for me) etc etc, can still do the Sunday quiz so it has a little bit of a normal bash feel about it. The Luton bash was so so good, Nottingham was kinda meh as like Tighty said it didn't work at DTD for me. Plenty of boozers we can sit in and play Tighty SNG's or £2 showdown Smiley

Leeds could be a good shout since it's fairly central and nightlife is good.

Sounds good.......any decent tourneys it could be based around?

Poker is the least important part of the weekend, no point playing £100+ comps, £20 f/o's £10r ftw.

Possibly in if it's in Leeds. Almost definitely out if it's anywhere else.

Couldn't give a monkeys about poker.

Beer and strippers will make me happy.
