it varies from game to game. powell was booed of 3 games ago and cheered off 4 days later. frustration levels are so high but he should escape too much abuse tonight as I doubt anyone'll bother going. manager and board have publicly written off the season, we haven't won in 10, it's a tuesday night and this'll almost certainly be a fixture next season for anyone who really wants to go to rochdale so no real appeal for anyone to travel. I'd be surprised if we take 200 up

On that note about away fans, good to see Crawley took 45 away fans top Gateshead on saturday, 0.005% of what they took to OT, 9,000.
If the funding goes kapput there, they'll be getting less than 1.5k fans and will drift slowly back into non-league.

off the top of my head, I would make Gary Jones League 1 player of the year.

& if WBA get relegated Dawson should easily make the step up to the Championship, not sure about Prem, but really rate him, 8 goals (7 league) this season too, 1 more than Clinton Morrison.

I know Evans is not liked, for good reason too I think.
But he
has
done a good job on the field, better than I thought, and all the big money signings have peformed (bar Brodie perhaps?), so credit to him for that I think its fair to say.

I've come to whinge. Not about anything in particular but a while ago I joked about hating football. I now properly hate football.
A while ago I tweeted you joking about getting a run for your money out of the Wednesday relegation bet. You are now properly getting a run for your money.
We are woeful at home. 4 home losses in a row. Before that I think it was 3 draws. Our next 2 games are at home. It's okay though if we fail to win them we've got a nice easy away game at Brighton.
I'm back playing rugby this season so fortunately I haven't had to sit through it.
I'd just really appreciate it if you could under prepare Colchester for the game at the weekend.

What were your thoughts when Megson was appointed?
I know he's a legend at Weds, but God, he is a terrible, negative manager.

Argh!
Just typed a massive post out and something went wrong so it all got deleted.
I'll try and bullet point it.
- Think he gets bad press over his style of football that others don't get (Pulis + Coyle)
- Slated for the Elmander signing, he's now come good. Signings like Cahill, Lee, Cohen rarely mentioned
- Thought at the time he was (nearly) best of a bad bunch
- Other options with far from solid CV's (Ince, Hughton, Academy Coach, Southgate)
- Sheridan was another ex player considered and despite doing ok since becoming manager probably hadn't reached the highs Megson had but I wouldn't have minded him
- I wanted Roland Nilsson. Loved him as a player. I think everybody loved him as a player. He has managed Malmo for the last 3 seasons and won the Swedish title in 2010 with a young squad that hadn't had much money spent on it (apparently).
As you can see there wasn't a long list of outstanding candidates. Charlton changed manager at similar time to us and also went down the ex player route. I hoped that there would be the Kenny Dalgish effect but I guess that although the Megson name means a lot to Wednesday it doesn't have the effect that maybe Dalglish does. He seems to chop and change the team around a lot and I'm not sure we can do that when we're battling to stay up. His name should buy him some good grace but he definitely needs to stay up and start next season well as when he came I felt we'd left it far too late to challenge for the play offs but didn't really expect we'd slip into a relegation battle.

I haven't seen Weds since Jan so can't really comment, but someone from the club was there last night.
Neil Mellor injured? Hasn't played much recently.
And these 13 defenders that have been brought in since Jan, whats that all about?!
PS. I never took that bet btw, was just playing along

Keith, you seem to have a real gripe with Crawley - you posted the same thing a few weeks back when they played the game against Man Utd.
I am from Crawley, as a kid used to go and watch them a lot - as a teenager played at the club. Can honestly say that since they moved to the Broadfield Stadium i have only been to watch them about 3 times (in roughly 10/12 years).
But you cannot knock what they are acheiving there! Sure they have thrown a lot of money at it - but then most successful teams do. Sure they have a manger that not many people like - but then most succesful teams do!
THey are not that disimilar to the team you support!!
This isnt having a go - i just wondered why you seemed to have a real dislike for them.

I won't depress gatso, but Rochdale desereved to win last night in fairness, a team playing with confidence, above themselves probably, against a team really struggling. Racon left midfield gats? Not having that, looked lost.
Comedy moment in the 1st half, tickled me anyway, Powell angry about something, crowd quiet, chap stands up ''oi Powell, no drama there son, we're not in f&*^%$g Eastenders now'', made me chuckle anyway, probs a standard line against Laaaaaaaaaandaaaaaaan teams.
Forgot to take about photos, so managed a crappy one on the way out just to keep the trend going.

you're not going to depress me by saying how bad we are. as I said to the camel last week I think we're currently the worst team in all 4 divisions and won't be surprised if we don't win again this season
racon on the left is indeed bizarre, he's been there for a few game. really don't get it as he could get into most championship teams at CM. he's actually looked ok playing there but it's clearly not the right position for him

Thought your best player by far Parrett, Wagstaff did ok 2nd half for a spell, Benson too when he came on.
Disappointed by Anyinsah, W-Phillips.
