Lay Forest at about
....then back them after we don't win either of our first 2 games for a tidy profit.
No signings, talk of major unrest, and IMO, a tougher league this year.
Easy cash.
I was about to suggest the opposite. League is easier. The teams that have come down aren't as good as Newcastle or West Brom were. Cardiff are struggling for money still. Boro have improved but should be a more even league but i don't think the top 2 will be as good as last year. Acquisitions Panel have now finalised the transfer targets and Forest have started making bids.
Still no sight of any signings, and a 3-1 home defeat to Lyon (our 3rd loss in 3 games) still care to disagree?

No. Changed my mind because of Billy Davies. I've heard te transfers are progressing but BD is the most negative manager i've seen in a long time. He's spent loads since taking over but said the other day to get play-offs he needs 3-5 stellar signings. WTF? To get play-offs? The squad from last year got 3rd he should be saying 3-5 signings and i'll get automatic.
He's also been unrealistic in his transfer targets. Acquisitions panel doesn't help but he's seems to think he should be able to sign anyone. When complling a list of strikers he wanted Chopra and Maynard were on it apparently. These are both 3mil+. He's already paid over a mil for McGoldrick and Blackstock and over 2.5mil for Earnshaw and also has Tyson and Adebola but thinks he shouldn't have to sell any of these for another striker to come in.
The transfers will come i believe and i still think forest could shorten when they do. The unrest is overplayed i think. Billy just sulking because he waned the top players on his list and may have to settle for less in some positions. Just what i heard from somebody at the club so it's second hand info.

Your comments are quite accurate actually, at the moment I'm very much a 'glass half empty' type person regarding this, and the AP do not fill me with much confidence.
Our record at Burnley is bad, and Leeds will be a toughie, I feel that signings will come, but it would have to be, say, Whittingham and Pratley, for me to change my opinion on the bet.
Forest currently, 9.2...and the Lay is 9.4

Just looking at Championship top scorer market.
What do people think of Chris Martin and Nicky Bailey at 66/1?

Chris Martin is certainly not guarenteed to be first choice at Norwich, we have bought Simeon Jackson and I can't see us dropping Holt. Having said that Super Chrissy is one of the most natural finishers we have had for quite a while and if he gets the games it might be a sweat.

What price would someone offer for Man Utd not to finish in the top 4?

Cheers for the info Longy. Will have to have a think about this one.

Gary Hooper is 5/1 to be top SPL scorer. Each-way bet to nothing barring injury imo, with every chance of binking the win.

Can anyone put me off this for a bit of interest.
Chelsea to win the Prem
Everton to finish above Villa
Norwich to finish above Leeds and Milwall
Wins 2k for 250 quid.

Not had any bets yet but tomorrow the racing post guide to the season comes out and is well worth a read, it posts all the odds and some obscure markets with value in.
Best 1.70 you can spend or just nick it from your local bookie and get some acca's on by saturday.
Will post my bets before the weekend

72-page football betting pullout in today's Racing Post.
No bets can be placed without reading it imo. They've tipped the mighty Posh for League 1
