I've no idea what his state of mind is today as I haven't spoken to him. Guessing it's not great though whatever.  Being depressed doesn't make you any less lucid or articulate though - pretty much the opposite in many cases - to presume otherwise is just another stereotype.

I've been mildly ribbed in the past for only ever writing on my blog when I'm depressed.  actually find it really hard to write stuff when I'm not.  that's us crazies for you.

Marc, I was diagnosed clinically depressed about 8 years ago.

I could still write, probably better than I ever could have.

Some of the greatest books/poems/paintings ever made have been penned by manic depressives. Syvia Plath, Vincent Van Gogh, Stephen Fry etc etc
