Always seemed a decent man - pretty decent career stats too. Good for him

Meh don't like the timing, think the end of the match would be appropriate. Team should be concentrating on trying to win the match.

Having said that I have a lot of respect for Collingwood, made a lot of limited talent as a test match batsman. Helped England save at least 2 test matches (probably more) with his batting in a rearguard action when more talented batsman threw their wickets away.

Nooooooooooo but I prefer to watch England bowl

Me too, regardless of the pitch i just feel more comfortable watching England bowl, I always fear a batting collapse and every ball has me on edge where as if theyre bowling you can be more relaxed watching imo.

still feel the same way? I was thinking about this post while watching last night. doubt I've ever felt more relaxed watching england bat

Ah yeah sure the Ashes have been retained , the Aussies were out cheap and England prob had a lead sure why wouldnt you be relaxed!

I was still dodgy at the start of the innings and would have took any sort of a lead but as is the way this series England have surpassed my expectations by miles. I guess I see it that you're kind of freerolling when they bowl, every ball can be a possible wicket and the worst that can happen is its hit for 6

Lol I see them as my boys alright, Obv Ireland don't play tests so could have never supported them.

I guess because I liked cricket and England would have always been on telly that i may aswel have liked them to give me a proper interest.

Absolutely loved every minute off this series, pretty safe to say we've won the series now,get in there.Very well done all involved, for me Cook and Anderson have been our two most important players but every single one of them has played there part.

Brilliant stuff from the England quicks, ball is reversing quite a bit.

It is pretty good time to be an English cricket fan, haven't always been able to say that!

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ +1

Team for next test if all fit ?

Strauss
Cook
Trott
Pietersen
Bell
Prior
Bresnan
Broad
Swann
Tremlett
Anderson

Pretty ul for Finn as he hasn't really done much wrong but can't see how we don't play any of them.Do people think this team could've give the great Aussie team of 10 years ago a good game ? Maybe I'm getting carried away but I really think we would've.

Morgan for Broad or Bresnan I reckon.
Morgan's got to be one of the best fielders in the team so will make up for the loss of the Brigadier.
