won a 200 runner 40 turbo tonight for 2k and had a couple of other medium cashes. Really enjoying tournaments, i think anybody who plays a large sample of one game whether it be razz, limit, 6max, HU, SNGs, MTTs etc will get bored. Grinding generally isnt fun and can be a big chore, but if you start grinding a completely different variant it makes things so much more exciting, at least for me.
I really like stimulating my mind and trying to find ways of improving and exploiting regs, whilst im anything but a fully accomplushed cash game player at times it can ofc feel like a grind as you chase hand targets, makeup figures or rake races. Whilst playing HU sngs you can have a beer and enjoy a lower variance format against generally weak opposition.

Have been playing a shit load since my parents left for England. Raked around 4k which is pretty ridiculous as I'm holding a full time job down too. Ended up with a pretty ridic roi for the last few months which was bolstered with 4 relatively large tournament wins. I took a shot on Sunday at some 500's and a couple of 200's/100r's and bricked pretty hard. Felt like I played deeeeeeeeeeeeecent though, so thats all that matters.
Cash has been fun to go straight back into and I've been analysing my results a little bit. I am playing a 32/28/13 style which is obviously super aggro, however my red line isn't through the roof which is weird, instead I have a positive blue and red line which is somewhat weird as we would usually expect my red line to be naturally a lot higher. I squueze and 3bet alot, but now I have changed my sizings completely. Previously at say 200nl, it would go open to 6, call 6 and I would squeeze to 25 or whatever in position, I basically just polarize myself vs the top end of their ranges as they will hardly 4bet me light at all because they have to make it like 50+ because they are oop and generally at 200nl they don't like making it <50 and then folding. I've started doing the opposite now and making it smaller, so now it goes open to 6, peel 6 and I squeeze to 16, this gives them room to either peel and play oop to me, gl, or to sometimes 4bet meaning I have more room to 3bet/5bet, but generally they are getting a v.good price so will peel alot of hands that will fold by the turn/river and 4bet the value part of their range.
So for example, reg opens utg to 6 with 88, guy peels mp, I squeeze button to 16. He doesn't want to 4bet/call, he doesn't want to 4bet/fold and because of the great price he peels. They generally will peel on jxx, qxx, 7xx, 453 etc etc but by the turn and river they will generally find a fold and because I'm in position and a semi good hand reader and understand how dynamics are changing I can generally use it to my advantage and take good b/c/b, b/b/c, b/b/b/ lines to work in my favour. It also gives alot more room for 5b click it backs.

Going to casino tonight with Ingrid, Callum and some other friends to play the bounty tournament at Gala tonight. Usually a lot of fun and there are often good side games for when I bust out in the first level and Ingrid crushes to the final table.

been in talks with a site called prostaker for a while now and after sorting bits and bobs out over the last month have agree to become a mentor for them.. They went over all my recent hands and decided they want me to give private coaching to some of their best players and in return i get a decent slice of the players profit + rake. Quite happy to get this sorted as the guys there are v.smart, v.good players and the players they choose are always v.good and importantly grind alot.
Have to put a minimum of 5 hours per month in with each student, so really looking forward to getting that sorted and having some fun there.
Going to grind a tonne over the next month, hopefully the hard work on the tables will pay off. Have been implementing the strategy i spoke about above q.frequently and has had mixed results, think i need to play like 30k hands to kinda seem what kind of impact it has. Also played decent amount with james skolsuper1 over the last 2 days but neither of us getting ool vs eachother.
Sick results for newcastle yesterday means we have 9 games left and a super realistic chance of finishing in the top 6 will be great great achievement if we can do so.
Sighhh at having to be up in 6 hours for work.
