I would probably invest a bit more upfront $$$ and stay at Palms Place, but other than that GOGOGO!

From the circumstance you've described, and given your recent bink(s) makes it a practical freeroll, I think you'd should go for it. Regret the things we didn't do, not the things we did, and all that jazz...

Would your girlfriend go with you? That's a long trip, would definitely need some life balance away from the pokerz!

Your updates are usually really good so from a selfish perspective I reckon the trip would add a lot to Blonde during that period.

On the flipside, if you decide caution then you could use that money to pay off a huge chunk of a mortgage and set your future up more securely. I'd be surprised if you didn't bink one of those the way you're playing though, lol

P.s. The problem with asking for advice on here is we're mostly degens who would all go for the dream poker schedule you've outlined ☺️.... so make sure you decide for your own reasons!

Good luck whatever you decide.

a) If you are going to play that schedule then obviously don't stay in the gold coast- I wouldn't look to try and be budget on a room, nothing worse than taking a horrific beat in a big comp and having to walk through a horrible casino (Rio) before walking through an even worse one (Gold Coast) to stay in a prison style room. If that doesn't kill morale I don't know what does. Gold Coast is fine if you are trying to watch your pennies etc and its the difference between being able to play comps or not, if you want to play a massive schedule I think id rather lose an arm than stay in Gold Coast.

b) Why not go for a shorter period of time- Vegas can really get to you after a while and if it impacts your SNE quest then staying for a month+ could be a killer allround. 2 weeks and playing everything well is better than 5 weeks and being depressed towards the end

c) Don't sell %s to the small stuff, I know you like putting up packages that include these but just don't do it.

Instead of doing that schedule, just say fuck it and play the 50k Players Championship instead.

I might seem like the biggest pigeon in here but...

I honestly think you'd be making a huge mistake doing this. Playing a huge live mtt schedule after one good Sunday seems absolutely absurd. Yes it could be a great way to spin up and have a shot at a bracelet but you could easily brick the whole trip, feel completely burnt out with poker and need a break when you come home - further interrupting your SNE pace. Playing live for such a long time is damaging for your online game too (just look at Durrrr for example).

Vegas is very full on, playing so much live poker, being away from normality for so long takes it's toll. I'd suggest playing maybe half that schedule over 3/4 weeks and take plenty of time off in between. Stuff like the 10k 6max is not good value (although it looks very fun).

I would agree with the above posts, maybe tone the schedule down a bit so you're 100% focused on all of em, avoid getting jaded (which can often only be identified in retrospect), and if you can afford it have decent accommodation... Or fuck it, do what Dave said, 50k players championship ftw! ☺️

As the forum nit, I know I would do in your situation.  I would definitely be investing some of the money in property.  I know you don't need it at the minute, but buy a house somewhere and rent it out.  Think you need like a 25% deposit to buy to let so will easily be able to afford it.  This will be a great long term investment and will set you up for when the games aren't as good as they are now.

Secondly, at the start of the year your dream was to make SNE and you've basically set up your whole year around it.  As others have said, Vegas could ruin it for you.  I'm usually burnt out after about 3 days of live poker, never mind 5 weeks.  Just treat yourself with the winnings and play the events you really want to play.  Go for a couple of weeks, do some other stuff, enjoy it and just play the main and the 6 max or something + cash.  This way you can still fulfill your SNE quest and have the Vegas experience.

Thirdly, Barry pretty much hit the nail on the head:

Why not go the ultimate plot twist and instead use the time and money to take Ingrid somewhere once in a life time never forget like the Bahamas to you know, actually enjoy the money and make memories?

Please do something like this.  Pokers great when your making chunks and everything, but you should really spend some time doing something like this.  The best times of my life so far haven't included anything to do with poker, you have a great opportunity to travel and do something amazing so don't miss out on it for sitting in some casino for 5 weeks.  If this was the other way round and I was +$100k this year, you wouldn't see me again for the rest of the year!!!!

I wouldn't look to try and be budget on a room

this +1,000.

No-one knows better than me and dubai about how vegas can take your head, like big roger has said it's very intense, very full on. You need to surround yourself with good morale or you'll just clip yourself the minute stuff goes wobbly and you'll end up flying home or even worse staying out there!

Get a nice hotel room in a nice hotel, or an apartment at palms place, a 1bed place last year for 4 weeks was somewhere around £2k, so much better. Also treat yourself to a premier ecnoomy or 1st class flight ffs its a 12 hour flight and you're off out there to gamble for 5figs don't arrive cramped and on tilt ffs.

Also when people say "this is going to be a work trip vegas, no dirnking, no nights out etc" well this is just silly, if you're motovation is purely to make money then stay in Hungary and play online, you're equity doing that (spesh when you wont have 100% of yourself in the comps) is far greater so if that is really your intention then going to Vegas is a bad decision. Vegas is an amazing place, nightlife, food, restaurants + a huge selection of UK hero's knocking about, part of the apeal of going should be those things - you get to do all that AND be making money (in theory lol) whilst you do it. Some of my best personal experiences have come from vegas, I've had big wins and heavy losses there but that is one thing I cannot do back, the fun I've had out there.

My advice would be go for 2.5 weeks at the end of June, play a few of the huge 1k's with 100% of yourself, a bit of cash games and then take the missus with you and have 7 days just lapping vegas up, stay in a nice hotel, morale will be high win or lose and then play the main and come home.

That won't cut too much out of your SNE pursuit either.

and another huge +1 to dubai on this...

c) Don't sell %s to the small stuff, I know you like putting up packages that include these but just don't do it.

keeping 100% of your action in a $1k with $800k for 1st and selling a chunk at spot in stuff like the $10k 6m is so much better for you and people buying %'s.

Think you need like a 25% deposit to buy to let so will easily be able to afford it.

assuming you can get a mortgage...

If you have a decent deposit and a long standing bank account (in good order) you can.  There are some banks / building societies that will do mortgages for people without a fixed income (assuming you can prove you've been making money).
