lol cooking for your dog that's hilarious!
Pretty sure when Pads says cooking for his dogs he means the in-house Chef is cooking for his dogs...

Cooked chicken, fresh vegetables and steamed rice for dinner, a chopped apple for a snack. Our dog had the best coat in any show he was in. Nothing wrong with that.

loads of people cook for their dogs. some basically feed their dogs better than they feed themselves. rarely gonna do harm although some variety will be needed to get a balanced diet unless u top up w a commercial food.
avoid raw meat n bones diet though - did anyone see those chicken campylobacter figures that did the rounds in the papers last week? shocking

in my last job, selling hygiene chemicals, we were looking at getting some products tested against campylobacter. It is more to do with flock separation and cleaning up of faeces than hygiene cleaning standards though. That said, cooking the chicken thoroughly kills campylobacter, as well as storing cooked chicken at the right temperature and if reheating, ensuring you heat it above the required temperature. As we know it's those temperatures in between that bacteria like.

The Food Standards Authority are 5 years into a 10 year plan to reduce campylobacter in chickens and the figure has actually increased, although I think infections are down (or the other way around).
Never thought this would be the post I contribute knowledge to pleno's diary. Although it was unlikely to be something on reverse blockers or 3bet shoving ranges.
