Yeah it was quite funny, Piper came across ok, but in general Id say no matter how smart you are dont try and sound smart on the same stage as a professional comedian the calibre of Carr.

I reckon I would have fallen into the trap of pretending to laugh at the non joke at the end.

Im not a big fan of Carr on TV, but Ive seen him twice live and he is a master when talking to the audience. He probably is one of the hardest working comics out there so I think its all experience and professionalism, I dont think he would ever come out 2nd best against a heckler, the ad lib parts of his show are infinitely better than his prepared stuff.

He might be on about the fried egg tale.  Then again - maybe not.

Jimmy Carr is someone I always seem to spot when I'm out and about. Twice I've seen him on the tube. Two weekends ago I was in the line at Starbucks, having paid for my drink and waiting for it to be served. I wasn't really paying attention at first as I was surfing the net on my phone, but the drink took a while. The guy in front of me was getting pissed off at having to wait and I heard him say to his girlfriend "work experience guy" and tut at how long it took to be served. It was at that point I realised it was Carr. He mumbled the same work experience line a few more times, just load enough for the barista in question to hear him, then darted out of the place as soon as the drink was served, probably with extra saliva...

I lol'd.
