Does anyone know why, or how, when you are on the tube, you obviously lose your signal, but you can still make 999 calls?

There will be a signal. but on a different network or frequency. Any frequency you can access will allow you to make a 999 call.

emergency roaming. it's pretty new in the uk. a couple of years ago if your handset said emergency calls only it was actually a lie as the networks wouldn't share but it works now. no idea what network you're getting underground though

My turn now. Who was Celtic's most prolific goal scorer in the period between the great wars?
