Def ready to get away now, been too long, and counting the minutes literally.
Had a quiet Bank Holiday, done nowt apart from start to sort the flat out.
Tuesday was back to work. It's fairly quiet this week, and will be until Mid June now, with just a few bits to sort out before the mad summer rush.
In the evening I went to Heathrow to pick up my dad, decided I would stand there with a sign saying 'Mr Sepp Blatter' Casually turned around a few times to 'accidently' show the sign, and started to get a bit of interest from the crowd of people waiting for their friends/family to arrive.
Some people even hung around after their friends/family had arrived. After about 20 mins, there were possibly a dozen people loitering, for no other reason than to see if Sepp Blatter was coming out. Then, a heathrow worker in a suit & fluorescent jacket came out and asked me if I was really meeting Sepp Blatter. When I told him I wasn't, he asked me to stop showing the sign. Sigh. I had to put it in the bin. He wouldn't pose for a pic with it either, said it was more than his job was worth. Sense of humour failure obv.
The sign doesn't even look real, I certainly don't look like I would be picking him up.

Went to Wankers Wednesday with Sir Donks last night, got drawn next to each other, and I got to watch first hand, how bad he plays some hands, but gets away with.
Didn't do much much other than crack AA with 24 in an unraised pot, and had 10 bigs at 400-800-50, shoved the button after a sirdonks limp in the cut off and Mrs Phan beat me into the pot with AQ, I had 10 5 ss and despite the first card being a 10, it wasn't to be. Thanks for talking me into it Dean. Sigh.
I anti railed dean for a while, wanting him to lose, as he said he wasn't upgrading us to an apartment if he won the comp, he got fed up with me and staked me into the 1/2 game for £100.
Stayed for an hour and left with £513. Dean was pleased, he even managed to get the money off me.

Got a glimpse on Thursday night, of how facebook has become important in some people's day to day lives.
Was going through my 'friends' doing a cull of spammers, people I don't really know, but accepted etc, and noticed someone I know very well, and have done for 10 years or so, was missing! Hmm, Quick name search and it was clear, that person was still on facebook, but we were no longer 'friends'
Now, I honestly don't have a problem with it, but I thought it was strange, really couldn't think of anything I had done that warranted being 'unfriended' in such a brutal way
So I texted them to find out. No reply. No problem, I then spoke to them on Friday, and they were busy, so couldn't reply etc. Fair enough. We got chatting, I asked why I was unfriended, had I done something to upset them etc?. No, not really, just don't really want to be reading about you going to Vegas every day. Right, fair enough.
Thought it was a bit strange really, given that a lot of the stuff I have seen on there over the last 6 months has been 'FML', My life is terrible, I hate my life etc, then why would someone be so against happy statuses?
Oh well, their life will surely be enriched now that they are free of my apparently offensive happiness.

Went to my dad's after work yesterday for a bit of dinner. Waited for some relatives to arrive, (the ones i stay with when I go to Glasgow) they are down for the weekend for my nephews First Holy Communion, said hello & goodbye, and left for Luton.
Had a great night, stayed there til 6 this morning, got knocked out before midnight, but that wasn't really important, loitered around for a while, just talking to people, watching the cash games, anti-railing friends in the tourney etc. Finished up with some High Stakes Kallooki
Broke even after 3 hours, which was good, as i was in a hole for £5 at one point
My starting table had both Nirvana & Evil Edna on it. Both of them, I like a lot, and both are recovering after spells in hospital, so it was great to see them back. Glenn was very pleased to see me I think, and even gave me half his stack, which was very nice of him, I obviously GIQ
He has had some real serious op recently, not exactly sure of the details etc, but it was life saving. Half hour in we get talking about staking etc, and he says he has 5% of Greekstein in the ME, he then follows it up with.. FML, I was expecting to be dead by July, that's why I bought such a large piece, never expected I would have to part with the money'
Love that kind of humour.

Got chatting to a a semi reg at Luton last night, about potentially working for him in the near future. The job itself, is something I have wanted to do for a while, probably won't excite many of you on here, but for me, It interests me a lot.
We exchanged numbers, and agreed that we would talk again after I return from Vegas. Mentioned that I could start around my current job, and if I decided it's def what I want to do, and like it, then there is enough work there for a full time role. More details if & when I get started.
Things could be on the up.
