Day 1:
Gav was due to get to me at 6am on Monday, but was too excited, so arrived at 4.30! I had stayed up all night, and sent them countdowns, on the hour, of how many hours it is til I phone them to wake them up.

Got the airport no probs, and after checking in, me and Gav went for a frantic last couple of fags to keep us going for the next 12 hours. Met grandad in cafe rouge for a fry up, and watched the planes, as he explained all the fascinating specifics of aircraft & air traffic control.
Once the flight had taken off, I asked the air hostess, if I could go up and check on the guy I was looking after

Managed to freeroll the seat for 2 hours, but then they rumbled me, I was sent back downstairs

still, it was 2 hours more than the others managed.
Arrived in Vegas, me and Gav got our cases very quickly, and went out and had a fag, Sicilidonks was delayed for about 15 mins though, apparently US customs wanted to know if he was diamond smuggling. Turns out this was due to the amount of diamontes he has on his collection of t-shirts he brought with him. So nothing to worry about..
Checked in, and after the suitcases had arrived, we headed off to the Venetian. Had a nice steak at the Lux, and just as we were finishing, Claypole & brummieboy arrived. We headed to the bar for a drink, and claypole told us of his Pai Gow experiences from the night before, and promised to gives us a free lesson. How could we refuse? After all, he absolutely crushed it the night before. Sat down at the table, and with the anticipation building, he promptly lost $50 on his first hand. At least we didn't take the piss too much...
We stayed there for a while and then headed to the cardroom, for the evening $120 crapshoot. Which is now a re-entry, FML. Managed to finish 45/290, on my second entry. Hadn't played a hand, for close on 3 levels, so when i saw an Ace I shoved for 25k at 1500-3000, obv get snapped by KQ & KJ, and lose. Nice bit of anti railing by brummie, claypole (who i knocked out the comp wiiii) and titaniumbean. Thanks lads.
Played a bit of 1/2 for a couple of hours, and done a buy in, was too tired to stay any longer, so headed off to the room for a sleep. Ready for today's $550.
Been here less than a day, but being in the cardroom at the venetian is surreal sometimes, so far away from home, yet it seems that, wherever you turn, there is someone saying hello to you, that you know from home. So far I have saw, Paul Wimbledon ( semi reg @ luton, Steve Watts, claypole, brummieboy, dan morgan, kev o'leary, titaniumbean, johnny vac, eels on wheels, jonnyplums, jcnev & the best of all, a hug from hitthehole, whatever happens on this trip, that will def be the highlight. He had a stack in the $1500 at the ventian when I saw him, so gl him if he hasn't done it in.
One final point, claypole apparently wasn't impressed by his attempt to give us a lesson in Pai Gow, so he tried again later on, and is now a few $$ lighter. Unlucky mate.
Up at 9 this morning, went to the venetian with Gav, had a baguette and coffee and sat by the gondolas. It was dead romantic, we consoled each other, that's were I used to sit with Kirsty in the morning, and he isn't used to going for a smoke at casino, without having someones hand to hold, or cuddle. It was a very emotional moment, I can tell you.
