There used to be things like this at Uni.

[   ] I avoided them like the Plague

[X] I was nowhere near posh enough to be invited

lol. bet you were posh enough, just didn't have the voice perhaps?!

How is Bobby doing at Uni, the Blue thing apart?

Do you buy the family Xmas pressies? If so, what sort of things?

He's a bit snowed under with all the work and finding it quite hard. Enjoying every aspect that he's throwing himself into though.

Out of the blue is such a massive time commitment. Did I write here about their Freeview project? BBC have paid them £15,000 to do this promotion about their "Playing TV Backwards Promotion" and they had to learn some Christmas Carols BACKWARDS to sing at various events around the country and for a TV advert.

It is unbelievably hard what they've done here, it's impossible to appreciate how hard it is to sing a word like "wish" backwards so it sounds like "wish" when played backwards. Here is their effort, so they sing the famous carol backwards, and then halfway through the freeview software plays it backwards and it sounds normal again!

sick effort

I also don't have the voice or - despite surprisingly feminine fingers - any musical talent. Doesn't work in a brummie accent. Despite this, I have astonishing rhythm.

True story - I spent several weeks before I first went up to Cam listening to Classic FM to try to "get into" classical music. Just did nothing for me at all, although I can appreciate the level of skill and ability required to write and perform it. When the classical music questions come up on University Challenge, my rules are:

1. Mainly violins = Vivaldi
2. Harpsichord = J. S. Bach
3. Everything in the orchestra playing at max volume at the same time = Wagner
4. Lady singing = Coin flip between Verdi and Puccini.

Seem to do ok.

See? Properly not posh Smiley

Pretty good analysis tbf

Bad fold - you had a flush.

Bad fold - you had a flush.

And tbf if you thought the guy had aces, it's 50/50 he has  so you are priced in.

Hi,

How can you be sure what the damage is? Both the wheels are totally fked, and you have to get the parts from BMW. Unless one of my really good friends who deals with cars all the time is trying to mug me off by sending me to a dodgy garage, then I'm sure I need what they're telling me I need.

Even if someone else could do a cheap fix I want a good job done to be a) safe and b) not have it happen again.

Plus moving it from garage a) to a new one would be very difficult and dangerous given the state of it atm.
