gonna sell more shares now. they've done really well this year too, up 10% over the year, which is really good considering its a vlow risk portfolio, was expecting 5-7% pa sort of returns, so pretty happy.

I am becoming an expert in crunching cars!

I know some people feel that they have to go to Sytner for their repairs but they really do charge double what anywhere else would charge.

There is a company in Colwick that I now use probably a little too regularly! Happy to send over details.

Ahh, that phrase again, equity beat.

If you need cash, then, yes, best to sell a few, but long term hold is the route ideally. IMO, of course.

Do you buy stocks & shares for capital appreciation, or for income stream via dividends?

I know literally nothing about cars, and more recently it would appear that includes not knowing how to drive them.

However these people have done a fair few jobs and seem reasonable compared to some quotes I received.

does anybody think there is length for a UK poker staking fund?

I've thought about it a lot recently, just haven't had time to think about the exact mechanics of it.

Its similar to the Max Katz fund but on a lot smaller level.

Say the fund total would be £150,000, to get into the fund you have to pay 2:1. so 1% would be £3000

If the fund at the end of year 1 is £250,000 then they get £1000 back, which is their 1% and remain with their initial stake too.

There would be no maximum stake, you can never "drop out" but you can always sell your stake.

The stake would be for buying pieces of talented UK players in live tournaments, some long term smaller stakes agreements, some long term online agreements and then also some online tournaments "pieces" no long term tournament deals.

There would be coaching involved, organised and coordinated by the head of the fund.

The 2:1 on the 1% was just a random figured pulled to my head, so don't critique that part. But thoughts please?

softplay/collusion is cheating....

softplay and collusion are NOT the same thing

Agreed.

Anyways a story can be manipulated to sound better/worse than it is.

Lets make things very clear these were NOT heads up pots.

Secondly hows this;

Guy raise to £6 gets 3 callers. One of them 3bets to £30 1 caller calls then PJ 4bets to 100.

OR raiser flats, caller gets out the way. Then check check down board and 1 fires £10 on river other guy folds, both muck hands.

Made £48 - £5 rake in that hand alone. Which they would then split.

Happened relentlessly if anyone looked strong then they would back off. If someone came to the flop between them they have 2 hands to 1 and chose who to bet out.

One of them 4bet pre then check folded to a tiny bet from his mate who happened to flop the house.

Some people noticed some didnt CRM wanted to ban them and they were being watched at all times.
Caught on video dividing up outside.
If one got stacked the other 2 insta topped up to exact same amounts.

They were lucky to make it out of leicester unscathed the last time i saw them there.

What the actual fcuk!?

Really need to keep up to date with this blog haha. I thought that was some sort of levelling post.
Why would they be so bad at cheating by making it redic obvious by betting £10 into big pots on the river each time vs the same people and nobody ever said anything at the time yet it gets brought up on here a year later?
Why would they risk £200 to win the guys £30? When if the guy had AA and he snap moved all in, they lose 200bbs trying to win 30bbs? Nonsense

Although Peej is from Mansfield woodhouse so he must be dodgy haha

You need to tell the insurers you've had a bump whether you claim or not btw.

Why's that?

If you make a claim later in the current policy period and the assessor identifies that repairs have been carried out already they would have grounds to refuse to pay out. Pretty sure you'll find a reference to the need to notify them in your policy doduments.

Also, because it is relevant to their assessment of the risk when they offer you a renewal quote. Standard question on insurance proposal forms "Have you had any accidents in the last x years?".

Sucks, I know, but with the proliferation of dodgy whiplash claims the insurers are hotter on this stuff than maybe they were in the past.

Does this count as an accident?

Did you do it deliberately?
