Taken me a little while to catchup on the last month or so...

Nice one on the bink - ez game when you moaned it in.

Sucks on the Victoria sleeping thing, had exactly the same thing with Charlene a few times where a previous night or nights poker sessions messed up 'time together' she also and very much correctly called me out on it too.  Priorities innit - and seriously 'wakeup' to anyone that thought you were justified or in the right.

The staking thing seems to have been taken well from what I've seen (only the after effects over the forum, not original thread).  I think setting a price you feel is fair, offering the sell and then reconsidering after a non sell out is very mature and a good idea when you want to minimise BR risk.  Like TK said, its a difficult decision sometimes and is why ive set up threads in the past asking about it to help understand that calculation better myself.

Sorry to hear the staking team didn't work out, know you enjoyed it.. but again has to be a good thing to cut losses before you put yourself and your livelihood in any serious danger.  I'm sure some people would struggle with that.

Other than that, caught up and I'll see you soon hopefully as I'm planning some DTD visits this month.

Oh yeah, and is there coaching for how to be 'relaxed about the reverse implied odds' ?? I didn't realise you were that good.....

We're all getting sidetracked here.

Back on brief, stato, crux I believe comes from the notion of the cross, where two lines intersect, so you get the central, key part of the whole matter. Latin deely.

And, furthermore, am der an RSQ-a-comin'?

you really are a tit jase.....
it really was not meant as a troll post Andy. So do you not agree. When Tom and I asked for 1.7 by way of a 70/30 deal they both sold out really quick... I even remember one of Tom's threads saying "horse shit sandwich for sale" and it sold out almost instantly. They were not trying to rip people off and the people investing were not investing as a shrewd business investment. It was taking advantage of a free market, that was all pure and simple.

everyone of your posts is a troll post bar maybe 3.

note how you're telling me what I am/was thinking, when you have no knowledge of the situation or me and specifically so little knowledge of mtts/variance/winrate and everything that goes along with it.

the whole point is people buy on this forum because they like people, because they want to support nice people rather than it being a mplace for people to sell at whatever markup they think people are stupid enough to pay.
"The idea that a marketplace for the public cant have good bad/comments about the proposal is not kewl. it shouldn't just have to be positive."

The point is that your post stopped him earning him as much as he would usually. Lildave posted a great comment about me costing someone a crust and it was dead on.

Its also not kewl to pick on Wrigglesworth either. He ain't the only person getting 2.0 and its not our business. Is it any worse than the promotions casinos run on their blackjack tables? People pay their money and take their chance.

Btw if you could point me in the right direction of the 3 posts I must have been having a bad day so will go back n edit them Smiley

P.S. Andrew its funny how people laugh at my shit until I turn the gun round on them and they get all mardy and start chucking teddies from the pram. (You know you are in my top 5 people on here still tho right )

Alex has made a genuine mistake and amended it and fair do's, but still think the thread should be staying in the section to be seen, not to mention some others have that been requested to be deleted have stayed around.

Aaron, Alex didn't make a mistake, he believe(s/d) that 1.5 was a gd value package. You disagree, which is fine.

No-one has done ANYTHING WRONG HERE. Whether Alex is good value at 1.5 is a question which we all have our opinions on, and the bottomline is no-one can prove either way. Threads being deleted don't look bad either.

lol

I can't find the old staking thread? has it been removed?

Yes.

Sigh.

Aaron. Not tonight, please. Give it a rest.

Thanks.
not wanting to get banned again but does deleting threads not look even worse for Alex

No, it looks worse for me, as it was me that made the decision, & it may have been wrong, if so, my bad, & my apologies. I never consuted with the other Mods either, so it is down to me 100%. I did it for a specific reason.

Why exactly it is a major point of principle I'm not exactly sure, it is certainly not anything that anyone needs to get het up about.

Can we give it a rest now please, I have a lot on my plate tonight.

Thank you.

yeah cool Tikay no worries. Its your bat n ball after all. Despite belief I do <3 blonde and there really is not one person I have any animosity towards.

I just see your over protection of Alex as a bad thing. He is the Golden Child and quite rightly so but he is more than capable of standing his ground.

http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=59401.15

^ I would bet my net worth that this package is considerably worse value than the one Alex has just tried to sell. I do know quite a bit about a) Alex's Game and b) all of the tournaments in question.

Most of this was snatched up inside a day. Only goes to show I'm afraid that people don't really know how to price up tournaments/mark ups at all. IMO it is certainly the buyers that are the wrong decision makers here and not the seller.

Dont get me wrong I'm not campaigning saying you've all made a massive mistake not buying this recent one, but certainly for the linked package to sell like hot cakes, and this recent MC package to get the tumbleweed treatment, highlights a massive lack of knowledge from the buyer base. This is why Beaneh's comment had such a direct effect IMO, people dont really know whether to buy or not, but they certainly don't want to buy if there is any chance they'll be perceived as being a mug.

Are you really telling me that the people who have bought now, looked at the original package and thought "hmmmmmm well I'm not sure this is a good investment, having analysed the tournaments that are on offer and the player in question, I've decided that the point at which id buy is at 1.38 (or some number between 1.3 and 1.5) or lower" and then instantly gone to buy when its been lowered by a very slight amount. I doubt it tbh.

I'd sell my Vegas package for the Summer at 0.5, but it'd be removed for overvaluing my chances.

Cheesy

Pretty much agree with this apart form the 'mistake'. May be mistake is a bit harsh but Alex rectified something which enabled him to sell out. That something just happened to be the mark up.

Alex definitely didn't do anything wrong and handled it exceptionally well just like a market stall holder on a Saturday afternoon at around an hour before he closes for the weekend.

All the best Alex and good luck.

Would anyone believe that I used to work on a fruit and veg market stall?!

If it is not a mistake, then what is it?

Like I said previously, everything else Alex has priced up has been fair, but this seemed like a mis-calculation on his side, no?
