The post-vegas come down has entailed a week of extreme degeneracy. This is the earliest I've been to bed all week I think and it's 730am.

Highlights: Sports/BBQ day at Keiths and in West Bridgeford Park
Lowlights: me and Fred both being in for £1500 in the 50/1 game tonight. Personal Record.

Full report to come after the weekend probably.

Post Vegas Shenanigans

Barely had a minute to rest and relax since coming back from Vegas. The weather being incred has made it much easier to get used to life in England - it's been pretty awesome.

So I spent a day & night with the family catching up doing standard things (Croquet, Tennis, Worms, Perudo, Steak), then headed to Stanford to watch Stato captain his local team in the cup final. PJ and I gambled on how many runs stato would get and when he'd get out etc and I took the overs (faith in the big man) and won all the little bets. Anything to make the cricket less tedious. The gambling did not stop there for the week...

After the huge Vegas night out, bowl amount of sleep, 10 hour flight, another bowl amount of sleep - I was falling asleep at the wheel on the way back to Nottingham. It was 11pm when I got in and I was ready to crash.

So I hopped in the shower and drove straight to Alea Cheesy

Since then I've played every night, 10 hour sessions minimum, until 7am minimum, once till 9am and had the swingiest times ever. The games have been £0.50/1 all week and I've had £1k+ swings EVERY session! Some up some down, I was £1200 in the hole last night and got halfway out, tonight I won £1k, the games have been playing huge.

I've been playing OFC pre, post and during the games every day too. Putting in tons of volume with Fred "Fantasy Land" Wise. He'll read this so I can't say too much about how much of a whale he is. Anyway, I'm so addicted to this game, it's so much fun and makes playing long sessions so much easier, the time just passes so quickly and can still be really sociable and lively at the table.

Here's some photos of the week's degeneracy.

My only OFC heater, at the lowest stakes we've played all week...

A clip from Stato's cricket match

Lol, that was from our "Sports Day" on thursday. We did this last year - went to Keiths for a BBQ and went to West Bridgeford park to play games. We split our tennis balls so borrowed these kids' cricket ball, and then they joined in and we all had a big match, was pretty fun. Exactly this happened last year too - we ended up playing a big match with a bunch of 9 year olds!

Really nice occasion.

You can see just how small they are compared to Mitch

Highlight: Sick bluff by Mitch and me: Kid hits ball into hedge. Mitch finds it, hides it behind is back and says "can't find it". I tell the kids to "run again". BOOM. They've fallen for it, hook, line and sinker. Run out. Pwned.

Lowlight: Them being better than us.

Looking forward to grinding online tomorrow, first session for over a month. Win a major one time?

Hi, welcome to the diary! Yes, barring some unlikely turn of events I'll be at DTD to play the 6max, really looking forward to it actually. See you there I presume (/assume?).

Yeah I'll be there, I try to get to pretty much every SPT, but this has gotta be the highlight of the tour, love 6max.

lol, getting pulled on 'sleep' issues again, wtf. People micro-nitpicking posts and taking everything written as fact, sad.

"Falling asleep at the wheel" is just a figure of speech, I was just very tired. And PJ drove us to Alea I didn't actually drive Smiley

I played a reasonably lazy/small sunday yesterday, dropped a couple of majors, did some more satelliting and just played on .fr, winamax and .com.

Bizarrely I managed to breakeven more or less on all three sites

- got 100th ish in the .com warmup
- 40th in .fr night on stars
- 3rd in my favourite tournament, the winamax LE GO FAST hyper (would've been back to back wins SIGH!)

And made day two of the winamax major 10/180 itm so I've locked up a winning day and got half a sweat still going.

It's so strange how you seem to have tournaments you always do well in and others you never do. I always seem to day two the winamax major. Literally almost every week (only 8-9% of field make day two so it's pretty bizarre). My ROI in the go fast hyper turbo is ridic, but am losing in almost the exact same tournament that starts an hour before. Never get above starting stack in things like the bigger 109 or bigger 162, but always build chips in equivalent comps on .fr.

Variance, I guess.
