Good 1/2 games typically are as deep and play the same as 2/5 anyway, unless Rob is playing, then theyre like 5/10.

I wouldn't say the average stack is 1k, but by 1am there are generally 3+ people playing with a bag or more.

I def dont recommend Alex to play the 5/10. Ive played it maybe 5 or 6 times, the game is huge and the poor players who are in the game are different types of fish you get on 1/2 and 2/5. Theyre not players you can push around too easy, there just ppl who dont really care about the money and are looking to to straddle to 25 at every attempt and get it in. Takes a huge roll to play that game and not let 3 losing all ins in a night, which could easily mean a -£15k night affect you.

Unless your sitting with £5k+, your gonna be playing like a nit and trying to trap with aces. Suppose some people dont mind that, i can think of a couple who do precisely this every week, but its just not enjoyable, generally swingy and doesn't improve your game at all. Kinda makes yo feel dirty.

1/2, 2/5 fish like check calling psb's with middle pair, telegraphing their hand and just giving you £500 before going home bemoaning their luck.

Play 1/2 on your own money, like i think your planning on doing anyway, and play 2/5 when theyre good and you know its where the value is.

Also, going back to what someone said about the win rates.... Over a pretty decent sample size of 3 years at DTD there is about a £2 difference in my hourly rate for 1/2 - 2/5 and the game is deffo big, and good enough to make a good living from.
