Really enjoyed the 2/5 game last night. Lineup was, Keys, Ian Gascoigne, Mitch, Ash (new blood that I don't think will come back cos Mitch was so mean to him after taking his money), stato, me, Mark Doherty, Neil Giblin, Keith.
Was a tough game, but i think +ev or at least break even this week. I decided to only sit with 500 this week and nit it up, as no-one ever folds in that game. People certainly dont fold QTo to a 3b when they're oop 100bbs deep. Not when theyre gonna flop top two, and get it in vs an over pair and a fd and hold. Gg first bullet.

jk mitch, no moaning from me. Was in for 1300 in the end and clawed it back, no real hands if interest, lost 150 in the end -felt like a win. Still a 2k weekend

Honestly it was worth it to just being part of the game. I realised how exciting i find big games like that. Of course i wasn't involved in lots of the big pots, but there's something enthralling about watching two good mates play a big pot together - the casual banter at the start of the hand (Keith raising again and Mitch peeling again usually), then the respectful silence as more and more cash finds it's way into the middle. It's like being on the front row at Man Utd Chelsea.
I remember last week in a 1/2 game, Keith, Mitch and Ajit played a massive pot, Keith had cold 4bet outof the blinds to 150, been called in 3spots, cbet 350, called in 2 spots, bet turn 550, called again by both. Then he shoved the river for about 1k. Watching this hand unfold was incredibly exciting. On the river I remember looking at the expressions of everyone at the table. The table fish staring into space, oblivious as to what was going on. The dealer, fidgeting nervously, he'd just come from a 50/1 table...Old school pro, Nick Hicks, sitting there casually, seen it all before. Ajit, the young and wealthy student from singapore, nonchalantly sat back in his chair, thinking over the decision with a cool 1k plaque in his hand, ready to chuck it in. The waitress, hovering next to the table, looking sick to her stomach at the stupid amount of money on the table. Keith sat there, dozing off over the pot, thinking he could win that in his sleep at home....
Remind me of this next time I'm knocking chunks in - I can't think of anything I'd rather be doing for a living right now.
