Alex, if you're not really fussed about cars then £15K is a lot to spend. If you were a petrolhead and had been longing for a specific car then I could see some justification, but you're just looking for a comfortable, reliable car to get you around. Why do you think you need to spend £15K?

Dunno. Just thought if you wanted a nice car you'd have to spend that much lol. Don't even need a car just would be nice sometimes. It was just a offthecuff remark that has sparked pages and pages of advice and comments lol.

Yeah something like an Astra, Auris or Focus probs best options for a car fish like yourself.
says the man who won the world and turned down a bentley for a nissan.
Nice car tho
Nice? That's like saying Megan Fox is quite attractive
.
The GT-R is a brilliant car, and an absolute bargain for the price.
Those who don't understand what a brilliant car this is don't really understand cars.
I don't know anything about cars really Guy but if I was to choose I'd prob pick the bentley (continental) as I think it looks nicer, more suitable for lots of different occasions and doesn't look like a boy racer car.
Is it a lot worse than Keys' nissan? If so, why? Genuinely interested and would like it explained

The Continental GT costs twice as much as the GT-R. It's a lovely car obviously, but nowhere near as much fun to drive, the GT-R is also probably more practical. Also, the GT-R is arguably the best supercar under £100K in terms of performance.

when keys was looking, they were around the same price iirc but def might be wrong there :S
Why is it more fun to drive? Not trying to be akward, but I don't drive so again, interested.

When you say supercar, does that mean it is able to do things that you're not legally allowed to do in this country (i.e. go hella fast)

It's strange how on this thread, I can write entries on stuff that to me is pretty interesting and would make for good discussions, such my posts this morning, but often they get ignored and some tiny thing gets picked up on and gets analysed over and over like steakgate.

Prices new:
GT = approx £135,000
GT-R = approx £70,000

Acceleration, handling, grip - basically the things you want in a driver's car.

Lots of blind spots in the Bentley. But otherwise they are probably much of a muchness in this area.

Accelerating quickly isn't illegal, neither is cornering or over-taking quickly. But of course, going 190mph is illegal in this country.

Returned to Nottingham to find my house was a bombsite. I don't know whether stato had been having another countdown party which turned wild or it was just the cat. Holly is chief suspect though. Even though Andys countdown buddy and 2009 champion, Chris is fairly prepubescent, I think even he wouldn't leave a large pile of feaces in the corner of the living room. Spent about 2 hours cleaning up, hoovering and mopping, it was a massive ball ache, Holly is a right little terror! She's the most attention seeking cat I've ever had and is constantly hungry too which is really annoying. She'll run in front of wherever you're walking so you ended up either constantly kicking her or doing a sort of hopscotch walk. It's bloody irritating.
All of this is fairly eye opening. Its a lot more work and a lot more expensive than I thought it would be, I was fairly naive when i came up with this idea to get a cat, didn't really think it through much. BUT I'm really glad I did because it's teaching me some valuable lessons in being responsible. I'm pretty immature in my day to day life, I make sensible long term decisions and have my head screwed on generally, but I have a fair amount of growing up to do still. I'm also fairly lazy and inactive, always put things off until the last minute, don't plan in advance much and this annoys
some people
Hannah. For example, it's been almost three months since the monte carlo and the money has just been sitting in a no interest account for all that time when I've meant to be setting up a share fund. Yesterday I finally sent off the package to get that started but i should've done it ages ago.
Basically, I think it's helping me take responsibility and if I can look after her properly then it can only be a good thing. It's like a mini baby so it's good practice
The first paragraph of this absolutely reeks of Belton Diary Envy imo

Played the 50freeze at DTD tonight which was a lot of fun, definitely going to play them more often. Especially now I've got a final table under my belt for the challenge! Shameless I know. 6th for 180 wasnt what I was hoping for but nonetheless more than I expected when I regged.
Exit hand was pretty annoying, I shove a bowl of rice with k2o called by Ax and J5o from the blinds. Fair enough. Flop is ak6dd, Ax bets into dry side pot, j5 calls?! Turn is
so I'm ahead now, river is a 4th diamond and j5 guy has the j diamond. Bit annoying cos get a full treble up if j5 guy folds the flop like he obv should.
NB: all HHs in this post are to my best knowledge accurate. I was accused today by someone of writing BS HHs to make my games sound amazing so that fish would read them and start playing in my games. Hope no1 else thinks that as it's obv untrue, I report on the funniest and most bizarre hands i play. Anyone that has played a lot of live poker can probably relate to some of the mind-blowing stuff you see in live games all the time. I obviously don't make it up to encourage fish to play in my games, that's a bit farfettched surely....

i think you should start up a challenge like spinning £40 to £100k and start selling houses nif hits are your motivation
been telling you from the first time i met you that playing live rule number 1 is "idiots" dont fold.
edit: anyone offended by the use of the word idiot to describe these people is a "prick".

been trying hard not to post too often tbh because i keep upsetting people (without trying to). Alex knows the score tho and obv does not mind because he keeps asking me to post more in his diary and less in Seans.
