ethics of this spot:
Friend A is part of a team in the marakesh team challenge. A leg of the challenge took place on monday, a $10 rebuy. Friend A was unable to attend the tournament until the latter stages, so asked friend B to play it for him, using A's account and $. This is breaking the rules I know, but who am I to judge?
Friend B does really well in the tournament, getting to the final 12 players (out of 150-300 I think) and then friend A is available to take over as 3/12 in chips.
What should happen with any winnings from said tournament? Say in the following scenarios -
1) Come 12th for a mincash of $25
2) Come 3rd for $400
3) Wins for $900
Friend A has put up the $, asked B to play it as a favour, and taken over with 12 left. Friend B on the other hand, has put in the hard work, got A into a great position to do well.
Thoughts?

is leeds the place to be? everyone seems to be living there. dans new place looks awesome. cant see anything like that in nottingham
all budget student houses....
Leeds is brilliant. So much better than Nottingham for someone of your age unless you're a student.
I'd snap move to Leeds if I didn't have so many ties in Notts.
I'm partially swayed by the 14 strip clubs and more relaxed rules than Nottingham but it's good for other stuff too.

Sounds good mate although Hopkin slows down my stripper exploits as he isn't too keen.
You're not even allowed to mention poker otherwise we'll walk off the same as last time.

Prague day 7
Plus some of the dealers we know from DTD / the circuit - Christie, Lewis
(Lewis on blonde)
and the lovable Jilly.
My office doesnt look much like Prague
Made me chuckle while reading it though.

But 1) drink or a thanks depending on what they could of been doing with the time 2) & 3) Throw them 20-25%.
If I was B though I would defo want to play on with A ghosting over my shoulder. No harm in breaking some more rules

On a pretty massive online downswing atm. Well, is 3k massive at 1/2? 15 buyin swings I suppose fairly standard when playing shorthanded. Just getting cooler after cooler really. Was playing accross 4 tables short handed with this aggro reg, and he's folded to quite a few 3bets in a row, and I can sense the 4ball is coming soon, pick up AK, sweet, I know he's 4betting me this time, sure enough he does, I shove and he has Kings - not part of the plan! Fish sits down and snap opens button for 7x, have AKss in the bb 4 handed, 3b/call he has KK. Flop flush draw and brick the lot.
Played a 20 minute session yesterday and lost 5 buyins, was so tilting. Couldn't be running much worse atm.
Snap ended my session after this hand.
Preflop: Hero is CO with
1 fold, Hero raises to $6.00, TrOv calls $6.00, 2 folds
Flop: ($15.00)
(2 players)
Hero bets $9.00, TrOv calls $9.00
Turn: ($33.00)
(2 players)
Hero bets $19.00, TrOv raises to $52.00, Hero calls $52.00
River: ($156.00)
(2 players)
Hero checks, TrOv bets $105.00, Hero calls $105.00
Surely he'd raise a set otf on that board, the only thing is 88 or maybe J8 but j8 is really unlikely cos a) he folds pre, even suited most of the time and b) card removal. So ott I'm pretty sure he's bluffing/semi bluffing. The river is a total brick, A5ss or 56ss gets there but I'd expect him to raise huge draws like that on the flop, not the turn so discounted them.
What's he got?
Pretty depressing graph for the month (online only)

On the plus side, I'm playing Day 1a of the Monte Carlo tomorrow, very excited. Haven't played live poker for a week now, looking forward to picking up two actual cards 25 - 30 times an hour and trying to make some matches and runs.
Should be a good buzz about the place tomorrow, it's an awesome comp and will be sad to relinquish my title...Should I get knocked out that is...

15 buy in downswings aren't standard, (i.e. you shouldn't get one every month), but are going to happen from time to time.
Each one will contain a lot of coolers, and beats, and it feels like you either can't make a hand, or every time you do someone makes a better one.
But it's also a fact that every time I've been digging big holes, a little review shows that my games a bit off also (even more off than usual!), and I've started to play bad in some spots.
Have a critical look back over a few sessions, and try to identify a few things that may have made the hole a bit bigger than it needed to be.
It's also worth making a conscious effort to play a little bit tighter over the next couple of sessions. It's almost inevitable that we play a little looser when we are losing.... and then find it more difficult to let go / avoid barrelling in bad spots, when we get down the streets.
