I taught an ex missus once.. Bought two bags of skittles and divided them up as betting tokens. She got it aipf vs my  with the monster  Two Diamonds. obv flops a boat and i don't get there then gives me days of rubs telling me how she is better than me. I google her now and then as i am a massive stalker to see if she has any flags. obv her reasoning was diamonds are a girl's best friend. The slag.

Cant really add much to the conversation about teaching Hannahs parents how to play but I (and likely quite a few people I know :p) would deffo be interested in hearing your commentary on the MC Smiley

Surprised nobodys given the proper answer to why the blinds are there yet lol. Theyre there to stop people from just folding until they get a strong hand (forcing them to play hands)

Would also love to see MC thing. Would be willing to help you crop and stuff a video if you like. Used to be okish on Sony Vegas and those type of programs

Regarding making Alex flip it was decided to because Mitch (probably bitter from being destroyed at darts) was trying a big old angle shoot as usual. They (wrongly) made Tom flip for his birthday then suddenly as it's mitchs birthday in a week he decides that birthday boys should be exempt from now. It was then suggested that we should start from now and it will even out over the year- well that means I'll have to invite ginger derby hustler to my birthday leaving me in a catch 22 situation.

Pretty nitty reasons still Keith. Just don't invite him if you feel that strongly about it - lose a few quid in equity but protect your dignity and reputation.

Plus we'll get to relive that awesome feeling of leaving mitch out of something so it drives him crazy like it did in Prague.

Heading back to Nottingham tomorrow after 3 enjoyable days in Newcastle with Hannah and family.

The poker lessons went really well I think. Everyone picked it up alright (the rules that is Wink ) and they were really keen to play again and we played another game today. Hannah won the first game with some epic tekkers.

It was interesting to see how total beginners instantly played totally different styles. Hannah's brother Will wanted to play every hand, but her Dad and sister's boyfriend, Tom were both much more catious and patient. Overall, a success Smiley

Showed her Dad how the online poker world works and played 6 tables for him - he seemed pretty befuddled to say the least!

We took a walk along the beach, helped Hannah out with her horse (yes, she's a posh Geordie!) and had a big family gathering today with homemade curry which was delicious! I hope I did a good job with her family, am not very good at all that sort of thing, think I did OK though (doing the washing up 3 days running was defo +EV long term imo Wink )

SOOOO many sweats atm. ALL of team eureka made it through to day 2 of the deepstack (which got a MASSIVE 434 runners total and prize pool of £217,000 - more than double previous months - superb). So really hoping one of them will ship it. Will be in DTD for the rail, and hoping to get a stint in the commentary box alongside Trumper to try my hand at that - would really enjoy that I think.

And there's the hero that is Lil Dave, still in the WPT in Dublin with 15 left - don't think he's ever had a big tournament score in his career yet and he really deserves one so rooting really hard for him. Hope this isn't a bok, gogo Dave!

Back on the grind HARD when I return, need to win mad dimes you see.

Dubai/lilD/Claypole 123 imoooo

Yeh Shaun is part of our Las Vegas Team challenge and came for a few beers with us in Prauge, seemed a top bloke and will be rooting for him too.

Never met Dubai but would LOVE to one day, seems like a massive hero and would be great if he won too of course!

But they can't all win so yeh 1/2/3 would be fine!

Yesterday was great. Spent the afternoon playing a bit online, sweating the wpt/deepstack and chilling with Hannah. Sadly almost all of my sweats bricked (except the crab oioi! such a boss!). Only 2/6 of Team Eureka cashed, both of those of the minimal nature - sighs. Some deep runs from Nick Hicks who just can't catch a break when deep, and Pete Linton who came 4th. Jakally built up a top 5 stack only to see it obliterated in minutes with 3 back to back bad beats/coolers. Really felt for him. Also sad to see Adam Picken go close again but miss out on a big score, Mitch get yet another mincash, George crush then crash and burn a huge stack, Maria fall just short and Vinny as well.

A day of big disappointments Sad What a brutal game tournament poker is, and how ridiculously good have I run in them?!

From a selfish view however, yesterday went brilliantly. I won 1.4k$ online in 800 hands, then had a really fun/swingy session of 1/2 which followed a fairly standard (for me) pattern. Sit down. Do 300 first hand. Do 200 a few hands later. Then pull out my trademark get-out-of-it move - flop-a-set-in-a-3bet-pot-vs-a-fish. Usually accompanied by the fish having an overpair or top pair top kicker for good measure. Get it in on the flop with them close to dead. Easy game. Ran pretty good after that, was winning 450, but had to end the session early - it was time for me to go in the booth!!!

I thought your stint in the booth was excellent Alex. Very well done.
