I also think its super-standard for birthday person to be freerolled, and was the biggest advocate of Thigh sitting out the flip in Prague, once he hasn't though, just think it's really unfair on him if Alex gets freerolled now.

Yeah. Very good to me too, though have let him nip me once or twice (in before "you've won at poker?")

Morning Alex.
Today, your diary celebrates it's 1st Birthday, & I wanted to congratulate you.
It's as balanced a diary as almost any I've seen, highs & lows, warts & all, & is well written, well-presented, and a compelling read. 156,000 views & over 400 pages inside a year is quite something, too.
I rarely comment in it, but you should not see that as dis-interest, it's primarily aimed at younger readers, & I feel a bit like Grandad trying to sit & chill with the kids in their own environment, I sort of stick out like a sore thumb, so I just read & lurk.
Long may it last, you've really "grinded" this Diary, almost never have quiet spells, & you update it almost daily, which few of us Diary geeks can manage.
Not just poker, either, it's life in general, & you continue to surprise with your off-table musings, Carol Services, Croquet on the Lawn sorta stuff. More of that, please, great great balance.
You are a total credit to poker, & to blonde - you are (with many others) a major contributor in the resurgence of this Forum in the last 12 months, & yet I doubt you have ever given the Mods a moment's concern. It IS possible to get messages across without shouting & hollering if you can express yourself well, you are the living proof of that.

Whilst I am blowing a little smoke up your arse, I'd also mention that terrific Post you stuck on the end of the controversial "stfu Trumper" Live Update a day or two ago that finished the 2011 blonde Updating year so controversially.
I guess most missed the irony of poker players complaining that Simon articulated badly by saying "stfu you twat" sort of stuff. There's none so blind.......
Not a single reply to your fine Post, either, so for those who missed it, it is here....

Dan Morgan > Team Eureka, sort it out boys no1 puts a card in on there birthday, wtf, you think the disciples let Jesus flip for the bread and wine on Christmas, 100% not imo.
It basically costs everylike like >£50 in equity as well plus if you're flipping multi-way its a freeroll cos no1 ever loses those.

Alex,
Happy Birthday
A question...
Now you've watched the playback of the MC final table were there hands that you saw where you now feel you could have played a lot differently?
I have no specific hands in mind, but I've often felt that a 'Director's Cut' programme with players commenting on hands they played would make for good viewing.

David if there was a lot of interest in such a video I'd be up for doing something like that and would probably quite enjoy it. No idea what the level of demand would be though?
