The "copying from staking thread" is the real joke.

Was just having a think about the T & C in the Insurance. From looking at the FCO website it only advises against parts in certain areas of Columbia not to travel to the country itself.
Columbia has the same warnings as Thailand and the Philippines so I think the clause is more for countries like Syria which the FCO Advises against all travel.

Played some 5k/10k cash last night, max buyin was a milli, go on then...
(taken on phone not new camera btw!)
The games were predictably amazing, but everyone sits short, mostly 30-50bbs so it's not that great, but very easy money and the money goes so far here! Think there's a 10k/20k game I could play, they seem to love PLO here, I might have to try my hand there at some point...
I booked a 600k win, pretty sure I'm gonna have my first 7figure winning day soon. Although, I believe I won over a million Vietnamese Dong (yes, really) off my Dutch buddy one day when we travelled SEA a few years ago so I may have already ticked that box...
Playing a 1m turbo today at 6pm, 5k chips, 15 minute clock, should be awesome!

Had a dream last night I was heads up with Vanessa Selbst for a bracelet and she offered me first place prize money if she could have the bracelet. My initial reaction was like nahh I want the bracelet but then she told me what the payout differences were and I was like, yah ok i'll take the cash.
then we got to the cash desk and the difference between 1st and 2nd was nowhere near what she said and I was like woooah hang on a minute, she was like well it's too late now I've got the bracelet wooooo!
Pretty comedy. I really like Vanessa actually (we're close personal friends now after I folded on her table for a few orbits in Vegas), don't think she'd ever grim anyone irl!

Don't want to get all Sigmund Freud/smashedagain here, but you had a dream about getting heads up in a big live comp against a top female player. Not only did you fail to win, and not only did you fail to get the (or any other - I recognise there may be practical issues in play but it is a dream situation) girl, but you got grimmed?
I think you need to use that insurance for some psychiatry sessions.
Or at least lay off the queso before bedtime

Day Three.
Poker poker poker. Once the LAPT is over I'll be venturing out and doing more exciting things, but whilst it's here, the action is too good to miss.
Played a turbo comp today, 1million buyin (about £350) and built a nice stack early on before having it obliterated when an old chap 3bet my open to 10bbs, playing 38bbs, I had JJ and set him in, he tank called with ATo and got there, sigh. Got a lot of runners too, really hope I go deep in one of these side events, they're such incredible value and so fun playing with the Colombians, they all love the game so much.
Given up on the cash games, no point playing when everyone sits so short, I guess it's just the way the games are in this part of the world.
Played a lot online today, did well, won a small comp for 1500euros and won about 7buyins on cash. Currently one tabling the $162 nightly 50k, can't stay awake, hence the blog.
Will go exploring a bit more tomorrow maybe, but there's a big comp on at midday, think its about £700 buyin, so can't really miss that.

30 left in the #LAPTMedellin side event, 16 paid, 57million pesos ftw! (About £20k!) Colombian flag is pretty niche, would be nice, plus a 7 figure cash for the hendon mob #get
Really excited for this, would be so gutted to bubble or bust in some nasty way, have been grinding a bowl all day really, was painfully card dead in the first 7 levels (OK, I slept in for the first two but still) and just grinded 10-20bbs since then.
Got like 12bbs going back, but average is only 15 or something so feels like plenty.
