Galfond obviously a sicko. Pretty sure he was advertising on High Stakes 6.

Good luck Alex.

he'd been called a nit before because the game obv plays such that tight is the best strat. So when he appeared again he tried to not be perceived as this massive nit,  + galfonds a sicko and Eli just clearly isn't (at least not with the same definition).

I think he wrote that he was supposed to be starting off in the $500k buyin game the next day and he was like 5th alternate for the day before but didnt expect to get on the table so when he did get on he couldnt afford to reload otherwise he wouldnt have enough money with him for the $500k buyin, when he played so tight they bumped him for Jamie Gold in the 500k game

8 figure score you mean! Who can say that eh?

Yeh bit disappointed with how today went, they made it pretty hard for me because they just didn't play any hands against each other (not in a colluding way (I hope, though they did snap deal when I busted, literally before I'd left the table!)) just seemed to stay out of each others way and take it in turns to outflop me. So despite there being 3-10bb stacks around, they just weren't busting and playing a 20bb stack is quite difficult when nobody is opening or folding to my opens, especially when you're bricking every flop.

I was shortest of 5 when I busted, shoving 13bbs bvb with and bricked vs A6o.

Dead chuffed with the result though, £5.5k it translates too, less the infamous 20% tax, so £4.4k which is alright, and leaves me profitting about £4k from the 4days including cash game (and blackjack Cheesy) winnings.

Pretty handy that there was a "deposit to Pokerstars account" option when cashing out. Very handy in fact, I took enough pesos to get me by for the rest of the trip, and put the rest in my stars account, so saves hassle with converting it back to £ or carrying shit loads of cash around.

Overall, pretty impressed by the LAPT. Nice selection of tournaments, not amazingly well structured, but decent enough, decent dealers, plenty of English-speaking floor staff and great value. It's a long (and expensive flight) but I really love South America, the people, the weather, the scenary. I'd almost certainly play more satellites to some of the other stops on the tour and do it all again. Next one is in Panama but that's a pretty dull place, much more interested in the Chile/Peru/Argentina stops tbh.

Onto the sunday grind then tomorrow the real adventure begins! Found a sick place to stay (I think!), will be keeping you posted.
