It's surely normal to be frustrated seeing bad players being rewarded, especially when it's a close friend paying the price.
It's not normal in any other line of work to call all less skilled / less experienced operators 'bad'. (Or terrible, or whatever other title is in vogue this week).
The group who do this, tend not to be very successful players. It's usually the type of players who rate themselves, but who haven't achieved the results to back it up, and are therefore a bit insecure..... putting people down, elevates their own status a little bit, see.
It's the same as berating other players at the table.
Rise above it mate. I know it's difficult sometimes, but is good for karma in the long run.
+1
its just a fucking game at the end of the day, its sick in football when a league 2 two scrap around for 90mins and manage to somehow bundle the ball over the line to book a 1-0 win at old trafford
also simon did not "pay the price" cos stuff like this is the only way he is able to make a living....
Yeah good points Neil. I guess it'll become easier with age (not to mention a few results of my own!) to rise above all that.
And yeah Dave, if the less skilled/ recreational players never won then they wouldn't come back - in fact, it is good for the game that they win.

Have not read all the thread update for the gukpt, so don't really know what was said, however, I do find that when a tourney goes 3/4 handed, does not matter what level of comp it is, you need a high amount of luck, and your timing is the biggest factor imo. I'm not saying if this guy who won it, is good or bad, I really couldn't judge that on one tournament, of course if someone has dominated the comp throughout, then you would say they deserve to win, but at the end of the day, this does not happen all of the time, just like when you have AA and all the money goes in pre, you know you are not allways going to win, regardless of how well you played, that's where all the timing and lick come into it, and I really feel you need these 2 things, when you are @ this stage of the comp, rather than any other. I think Simon is an awesome player, I really admire his game, and I think 1000% he wil bink something really special, it's a bit like the one & only 'yo yo', when it's your time to win that comp, it's your time, simon should think that he's obv destined to win something much bigger, and this was merely a stepping stone for him.
On the flair ups at the table, this is one of the reasons I rarely play live now, as I know ppl just wind me up too much for me to be able to enjoy the comp, I'm laying out money for, let alone try and do well in. My advice to you, would be to remain calm, and silent, completly ignore these ppl, smile inside and think how lucky you are to of been given such information whilst he still sat at the same table as you, don't make it personal, but just wait in the wings, and when the times right, completly own his soul, and as he is walking away potless, that is when you know you have won the battle lolol
sry to waffle, I never know how to word anything when Im typing it into a computer :s

He's the main part of the Belper mafia that once saved a scared little Greek boy from the nip police in the heart of ghetto Nottingham...

Lost £400 tonight in a really deep 50/1 game at Gala -got coolered / ran pretty shit. A guy who'd just won the warmup for 106k was there spewing off hundreds, along with another guy also spewing around (both were drinking heavily). The game was really juicy but you needed deep pockets and after losing a couple of bullets I decided that mine couldn't take a £600 loss in one night so left with a heavy heart. It was probably a wise decision because of the high variance nature of the table, but it was really hard to leave such a juicy game.
Never mind, lots to look forward to over the next couple of weeks
1) Germany this weekend with Hannah
2) Scoop - put together a schedule for $1.2ks worth of events, sold half so there's chance for a big score.
3) Slovenia - 12th- 16th for the next leg of the EEPT whoop. booked flights and hotels today, deadmans coming along now too as well as previous suspects +/- a couple.
