How does ian frazer even have money
now this i totally agree with. i have only played a few times with him but every time he has played so badly you would think he had to be one of the worst players in the room. still holding onto the love for Gosney tho

What happened to your news for cash game players at DTD?

Friday. Did a good win on cash. £1750
Two big pots, both with Kings.
1) Terry raises under the £8 straddle to £20. I make it £60 with dem cowboys. Straddler (Ian Frazer) calls cold, Terry comes along.
. Ian shoves for £500 effective. Terry folds, I snap. Ian shows 79o. I hold. Nice
2) I raise to £25 under the £8 straddle. Terry makes it £65 next to act. I make it £200. Terry jams for £1050. I call and hold vs
. Weee. I think getting in £500 vs him with ATo a few weeks ago proved to be a good decision long term
So that was a 2.1k pot, biggest ever pot I've won before unbacked. The other pot I won >2k was allin pre as well lol.
So that was a great night, best ever night on cash unbacked
Hi Alex, nice return for a night of poker but I can't help noticing that the 2 pots you scooped totalled around 4k but finished up 1750 on the night. Do you find that once you are up a decent amount you can spew off easily?
Only asking as I find that my opening range certainly widens when ahead and is a major leak of mine.

I think Alex might be trying to say that although the pots scooped may be 4k, he put in half of the money. Hence 2k profit there or thereabouts

Non-poker goings on.
Started playing online monopoly. Cool, I know. Been playing with DMorgan, LilDave, Stato, JK, Zerofive (sorry to drag you down guys)- it's been fun. Enjoying the gamble/sweat of the game, as well as the game theory and strategic aspects. And the needling/banter obv. Anyone interested in joining us pm me, we usually need a player or two to make a 4, get involved. It's cooler than it sounds. Nah it's not really, but hey, win some/lose some.
Attempted to go laser quest yesterday. Too many people bailed though and there was bookings etc, just didn't work out. Mitch, Will Fry, Keith and I ended up playing pool/arcade games/ eating dinner then going to Wills, playing on the PS - Old school wrestling games, FIFA, Tennis and then watching the DVD of Will Fry's EPT victory a few years ago in Hungary. All round good fun.
Today I played golf for the first time. We went to a driving range, which for those who don't know, is an area where golfers can practice their drive. We were obv all pretty shit, esp me. Never really been interested or into golf at all, and that hasn't changed today. Relatively fun I suppose. Didn't disgrace myself on the putting green though.
Mark ran a skype lesson for all of the stable tonight, teaching us about online tools and going through a few 10-25bb spots. Was good. Will definitely be using some of the tools he showed us to go through spots i have in tournaments where I'm not sure of the profitability of a shove/reshove. We ran through the numbers of my 33 shove against Tina in the deepstack a few weeks ago. Although at the time Keys and Mark both said it was tez, it was vindicated my the cold hard facts as BRILLIANT and more importantly profitable. Happy moment.
Life is good. Can't go into the cash game thing Rich, nothing is certain and nothing is public knowledge yet, I'm not supposed to say anything, so I'm sorry for the slowroll.

yeh mitch wins five 3/4/5way allins then a 5way £20 flip at the end to book the £150 win. There really isn't a luckier guy on the planet.
Hit n runs the game for 150 at 1am saying he has to go to bed early, still posts that at 3.50am though. #whataguy
I lost £30 mate, but won £130 playing on SKY POKER to get me out of it.

i still dont see how the shove can be profitable against Tina because she never folds. it took me about 6 months to find out who she was because i noticed that she seemed to have a consistant set of results....little delicate chinese woman was not who i had been looking for.
How many did the 2/5 game at alea get?

yeah ians are mostly entry restricted events that are on the tv which lend themselves well to donk donk donk suck play.
suppose he is quite good for poker and is quite a nice guy. i remember him banging on about this watch he was wearing one night. someone at the table pointed out that its hard to find a quality watch with a big hand that points to the twelve and the little hand half way between the 10 and 11.

Assuming she's opening 77+, AJ+ and only calling JJ+ (I think these are fair asssumptions) then she'll just fold so much of the time that we'll make chips by shoving. When called we're 18% to double up as well.
The 2/5 got 8 at its peak.
