i still dont see how the shove can be profitable against Tina because she never folds. it took me about 6 months to find out who she was because i noticed that she seemed to have a consistant set of results....little delicate chinese woman was not who i had been looking for.
How many did the 2/5 game at alea get?
Assuming she's opening 77+, AJ+ and only calling JJ+ (I think these are fair asssumptions) then she'll just fold so much of the time that we'll make chips by shoving. When called we're 18% to double up as well.
The 2/5 got 8 at its peak.
Her opening range is tighter imo. Still think 33 is a fold but not a huge mistake

Using this Fold Equity calculator that Mark showed us about last night
http://www.fpppro.com/fold-equity-calculator.php
She opens for 6k at 1k/2k/200. So there is 10,800 in the pot when it comes round to us. We've shoving 50,000 to win that 10,800 and will be 18% when called. It works out that we need her to fold 74% of the time.
Using Poker stove to work out her opening/calling ranges.
Opening Range 77+,AJs+,KQs,AJo+,KQo = 8.4% of the range
Calling Range JJ+ = 1.8%
1- (1.8/8.4) = 0.79. Therefore she folds 79% of the time
Disclaimer: Doesn't take into account the chances that the SB/BB behind me wake up with QQ+ (1.4%*2) but even subtracting that 2.8% from the 79 you get ~76%, making it just better than breakeven. Probably best to just fold though, easier and more profitable spots will come up. AND she could be opening tighter. I still maintain she would fold AK because it was for almost all her chips and calling allin with AK when she's only put 6k in is not something that Tina would do.

use the odds oracle shove equity calculator its miles miles better imo.
the assumption she folds TT to the jam and doesn't open 66 is wildly off imo, whereas you can make it seem profitable i dont think its a good play for a live donkament, in my humble opinion.

How does ian frazer even have money
now this i totally agree with. i have only played a few times with him but every time he has played so badly you would think he had to be one of the worst players in the room. still holding onto the love for Gosney tho
They're both awwwwful herbie.

Decent 1/2 game tonight, only 5/6 handed but some good action. Got £550 in on the turn with
vs Mitch's dead Aces on
which got things off to a good start. Later on I open AK to 25, Tom 3bets to 75, I shoved 480 effective he snaps with
, we run it twice and I lose both - marv! Snap double up next hand for 200 with A9o allin pre vs Q4o, Ajit generously telling me he hadn't looked when he 3b shoved over my 25 open. Lost 100 overall.
Nvrmind, annoying to lose that 1k pot but I'm getting into those situations quite regularly at the moment (not quite as bizarre as 500 in pre with AK vs 34 lol) but it's great to be in games where that kind of thing happens frequently making them super profitable, but of course, very high variance.
Tanking going birmingham for the £500 jobbie. 50k chips/hour clock seems soooo long though...

On iPhone so can't quote but I know Tina won't ever fold even 3/4 the range you assume she will buddy. I make most of my chips/money off people like this who can't fold even if they ain't seen me play a hand for half an hour (assuming they are even watching). I don't know how Tina does ATM but she had a cracking record at Dtd tourneys awhile back.
Getting people to fold in a live game whO ain't ever folding while they have a hole in their arses is a leak a lot of people have. You can't bluff em but you can get em to stack of dead or drawing uber thin.
