and Alex is supposed to fold because of this speech? What does 'clearly stating' something have to do with anything? Unless you actually expose your cards he's quite right to ignore every word you say. |

cont.. So when it comes back to me I was nt that happy with the play I had set in my mind that I was going to make, If Andy was to call and you do to it brings the others in and AA wont play well against that number of players. So I shove just as my apple pie and custard turns up but some how I had lost my appetite. Tom folds again the right read, Andy calls again the right read, then it comes to you........... at this point I want you out mainly because if you are the other two fold, I'm heads up, I'll take my chances. So I announce to the table as they are all saying look at the value! I know I'm doomed  The table asks me what Ive got before the hand starts I tell them Aces, I just don't show in cash until Ive won that's just me. Andy Murphy comes over and asks me what Ive got again I say aces. I HAD ACES! The rest will be confined to the DTD folk law, Like me having the 3rd worst full house against Tom and Julian for a £1400 pot and folding AK suited in the Monte. Nice hand, hopefully the start of a good run for you. PS that's 2 bottles of Corona from the back of the fridge... the accusation of the "slow roll"one you owe is the important one though! Again nice catch........ see you later. Should you be saying this with more than one player to act? |

The table at that point in time was nt following normal poker rules, people saying "how can you fold" "you've gotta call look at the value" etc, so I tried to use any angle.

That's because they have bad hands that need big binks to get anywhere.
When they hit big enough to beat one person they are highly likely to beat everyone so they want as many as possible in the pot.
Were you actually trying to get Alex to fold?
From your post earlier it looks like you wanted him out?
Seems odd with AA

Pay attention will ya que? don't want to be 5 handed with the best hand in poker when being 5 handed means there's 5 times the money in the pot? You realise your £ equity doesn't change as you add more players, right? Sure, you might be less likely to win the pot, but you win more when you do. if that's your attitude btw, just raise pre instead of flatting. Since you've given Alex credit for a hand already, raise, watch him 4bet the bits off you and be very happy to get it all in. |
