15 buyin downswings are common even at holdem, I'm currently on around ~100 buyin downswing at PLO- which probably equates to 25/30 at holdem I'd guess, so I wouldn't worry or read too much into it

On a pretty massive online downswing atm. Well, is 3k massive at 1/2? 15 buyin swings I suppose fairly standard when playing shorthanded.
15 buy in downswings aren't standard, (i.e. you shouldn't get one every month), but are going to happen from time to time.
Each one will contain a lot of coolers, and beats, and it feels like you either can't make a hand, or every time you do someone makes a better one.
But it's also a fact that every time I've been digging big holes, a little review shows that my games a bit off also (even more off than usual!), and I've started to play bad in some spots.
Have a critical look back over a few sessions, and try to identify a few things that may have made the hole a bit bigger than it needed to be.
It's also worth making a conscious effort to play a little bit tighter over the next couple of sessions. It's almost inevitable that we play a little looser when we are losing.... and then find it more difficult to let go / avoid barrelling in bad spots, when we get down the streets.
Excellent advice as per

Fk me, do you not start to question your ability at some point? Not taking the piss or 'owt, just a genuine question.

Lol many a time- I just seek solace in many huge winners on 2+2 posting similar graphs and stuff. I mean i have 30buyin winning days and stuff at times so it's not like 100buyins at holdem. Which is why I was saying 15 buyins is common if you are 4 tabling holdem.

I had a really brutal 40bi downswing at HU when I was generally playing really good and was abt breakeven EV wise. Was a horrible horrible spell and really put me off poker for a whille.
I think behind EVERY downswing there is bad play ro too many plays put down to "coolers" lots of situations can be avoided, too many people 5bjam bb v btn and say its standard with hands that really aren't and put everything down to being "situational" when lots of the times its "paranoia" rather than situational.
i have one horse who had a 80bi upswing, then 50bi downswing then 30bi upswing and then 40 bi downswing lol.

Yeah I mean obviously you play better when you are running good and visa versa- and defo agree with Jakally that to tighten up for next few sessions is a good idea because confidence gained from winning again is massive and breeds success. Lowering variance obviously is always more likely to make you have a winning session

Who's the girl in first photo?
Jilly, ex DTD dealer
Is she still 'ex' I thought she was back? Having Jilly deal has always been a highlight of the trip to DTD for me.
*
In any event, much kudos for the photo - it almost looks as if she likes you all
*
I don't mean this to suggest that I have any carnal desires for her, pulchritudinous though she undoubtedly is, more that she is a true character and adds to the experience.
