I guess it's possible they are the best books you've ever read, but they're still shit.

I also watched OFOTCN recently, heartbreaking film. I am in the process of going through imdb's top 100 using lovefilm. Try "12 Angry Men" next, incred.

recommend lovefilm?

Especially good if you wanna watch a series from the start instead of buying them!

Thanks.

Sorry if I was a bit nosey.

I Just didn't realise your rents had split and it came as a a bit of a surprise.

I've always thought of your family as a close-knit one.

Actually, I guess I still do.

Not nosey at all. We've always been fairly close-knit. Me and my brothers especially. But not so much with our parents at all.

So you spent christmas last year as a family despite the fact your parents weren't together? That must have been... horrific? The idea of my parents in the same building on christmas day fills me with a very primal sort of dread :/ Anyway, sorry to hear it didn't quite have the magic of previous years. Cats are a good antidote Smiley

Hey ben, yeh last year was strange on paper but it felt normal, it was just the lunch& afternoon we were all together, not the whole period or anything. It was one of the unwritten "terms" of their divorce strangely enough that they we'd all eat xmas lunch together still, but couldn't make it work this year.

You have a cat too?

goldfish very bad for morale, swims around all day then dies + cleaning it out is super tilting.

get a pond with Koi Karp installed imo, or if not get a hyena to keep thieves away.

ALSO ALEX - you play hearts? I'm a huge fan, we should play sometime online Tongue

agreed. cats pretty good for morale overall. thinking about having a bunch of morale boosting pictures on the wall of our house. graphs, photos, naked ladies that sort of thing. thoughts?

Hearts is fkn ace, love it. Put in a pretty high volume if I'm honest, I'd feel like I was hustling you if I played you for money Tongue

Am also definitely in for hearts - put in a lot of volume recently too, although after reading some advanced hearts strat starting to feel like a bit of a fish but whatever.

Kind of nice to have a family day I guess if it can work - my ex's parents stayed together for years 'for the kids' and the tension was unbearable, and coupled with my own xmas memories I guess I have an inbuilt fear of forced family gatherings! But yeah, if its tolerable then I can see the appeal.

And yes I have a grumpy, surly, unaffectionate furball called Charlie and I love him to bits Smiley But not coming to leeds dan so don't worry!
