Harrah's is right next door to Venetian and Wynn. Caesars and Bellagio are over the road. Easy walking distance IMO.

definately person dependant! I got cabs from bellagio to Venetian

I got duped by lildave into walking from Bellagio to Venetian

[ ] It only takes 10 minutes

Only reason to go to Caesars if you're there as a 'work trip' is to go shopping imo

Arrived back in Nottingham last night, with my bike on the back of stato's car and Holly in the back seat. Glad to be back.

Had a really fun cash session at dtd (only my 3rd of the month believe it or not). It was 1/2 and the lineup was Me, Thigh, Jakally and Stato, Paul Grummitt and 3 people I'd never seen before. It was a good game.

Fairly standard start, I get in a £600 hole but luckbox my way out of it in the following hand (a late candidate for hand of the year!)

So we're playing the 72 game. Well sort of playing it, not for money, but everyone's trying to win pots with it and show it and it's just a fun, gambly sort of game.

Stato has put the £32 straddle on and it's folded round to me in the SB and I make it £100 with two hearts. Paul flats from the BB and we're heads up to the flop, playing about £500 effective.

An enjoyable two spades I lead for 150, Paul says "I'm just worried you've got fkn 72 again!" (arghh!) he makes it 325 (wiii), I jam he calls the rest off. I snap turn over my 72 "I FKN KNEW IT, I KNEW YOU HAD THAT" he exclaims. He shows and I hold (depsite the horrible on the turn for a sweat!).

So that was fun. Got a lot of looks and shaking heads from a few of the regs and I just hid in my hood, slightly embarrassed at my outrageous luck.

Ended up winning a tiny amount, cut the session short as I'm trying to keep a reasonable timezone because I'm staying with Hannah and her family in Newcastle so can't be nocturnal.

Results for the month/year to follow.

It was a lovely sunny day and we had a nice little walk! great for morale imo had you complained slightly less Tongue

yh gotta agree, no need to be going to ceasers for poker. this being said they do have some half decent tourneys on there from time to time, pretty small, but structured decently and the stnd is woeful. Only problem is that the rake is kind of a joke ($100+$30 and so on) but there will almost certainly be at least one tourney there that takes your fancy on any one trip i'd say.

December Results

Live Cash

Profit £1427
Hours 15hrs 45 (lol)

Online Cash

Profit $1070
Hours 35hrs
Hands 11,179
bb/100 4.8

Live Tournaments

Profit £7161
Hours 30hrs

TOTALS

Profit £9258
Hours 80hrs 45

So pretty weak month volume-wise but that was planned due to burn out in october/november and christmas of course. Happy with my start to online grinding, put in 95% of that volume in the first 2 weeks, but then was distracted by the MC and christmas and basically done nothing since then. Live cash took a back seat this month. Great results though and my 2nd best month of the year whoop!

but while you are having a cig outside the poker room
Having to watch the pussy cat doll dealers that's a nice view of a nighttime
And the chicks queuing to get into pure nightclub
I've always said there must be a resort where all the ugly women go as you rarely see any

2011 Results - Summary

The website I use for my results has a page of reports which is pretty awesome so will just c&p it.

Cliffs

- £58k profit - thrilled
- 1582 hours - very pleased with that volume
- Cash results - not very pleased, but my £19/hr winrate at 1/2 is pretty sustainable and could be improved on so if I keep that going and put in the volume there rather than 50/1 or 2/5 then I should win a more acceptable amount. Yet to run good at 2/5 which rather skews my results but hardly put in much volume so can't really look into that yet. Feel I need to mix my game up vs the regs and try a few new things.
- Tourney results - pretty sustainable imo Tongue

Cash game graph for 2011.

It's in £s but the website has a bug and puts it in dollars.

I know you are slightly limited in terms of what you can play because of DTD opening times etc but are you really pleased with 1582 hours?  That equates to just over 30 hours a week which a lot of people would consider to be a part time job and given the fact that most of the best players are playing long schedules multi tabling online and will just be likely seeing so many more hands and situations than you are.  Kind of agree with Dubai that the best approach would be for you to play more online and get the volume in that way.  Success in every walk of life is about practise and workload and whilst your tourney successes were obviously well deserved you can't rely on one of those every year.  How happy would you have been with your year if your results for the year were  +£15k which is what your cash results have been.  That is £10 an hour or so which isn't going to be sufficient at 30 hours a week.

Hope you don't read this as sniping or whatever and am obviously delighted for you with the way the year has gone but really want you to be able to move onwards and upwards from here but I think to do that you are going to have to put in more volume.  Best of luck for this year.
